Four items I always have with me on a daily basis when I work. A tape, two different color pencils, and a utility knife for opening cabinetry boxes for installation. I use a Tough Built holster for these items normally. My second holster is wearing out, and I thought I deserved to step up to Occidental. I've always been impressed and enamored with their reputation and quality. I still am, so don't get me wrong. I ended up returning this item, as it is just too huge for my use. All of the hallmarks of Occidental Leather are there though. Thick high quality leather, rugged stitching, riveting in high stress areas. Gorgeous coloring. Everything you expect from this company. Unfortunately, the bulkiness is what ended up turning me off. The clip attached to the belt loop makes this stand out from your hip, a lot. Some of the kitchens and other areas that I install custom cabinetry and trim into can be a little confined and tight. My fear with this is that I'd be banging my tape holster into things a lot or getting hung up on areas that I have to squeeze into or beside things. I think that if you're working in a more open area this would be perfect. It is a good looking, well constructed piece and I do regret having to send it back. If you think it'll work for your applications, do not hesitate to snatch one up for yourself.

I am notorious for never having a measuring tape while completing jobs. No matter how many I lay out, I can't seem to find one in my work space. This device helps keep me organized.I used a basic Stanley, chrome, 25 ft measuring tape. It still required that I insert it in a certain way to fit without issue. The pencil holder is a blessing. I now have what I need in one place.It is a bit stiff, but is irrelevant because if you fit the right tape, you won't need it soft to accommodate your monster measuring tape.No real place for a razor knife, so I carring it in my back pocket. Seems that's the only thing I never lose. All in all, I think.it is a great accessory for any handy person.

What a fantastic product! Thick leather, strong clip, quality rivets/stitching and craftsmanship all around. I’ve wanted an Occidental Leather tool belt since I was 19 but could never justify the cost. 29 years later I finally got SOMETHING Occidental! LOL. It may take me a min to get used to tool placement because I’m used to full on tool belt packages and or Carhartt pants with all the pockets and loops, but really that’s a non-issue.High quality all the way. I read the reviews on here before I purchased and it seemed the most common complaint was that a 25’-35’ “Fat Max” tape was super tight. Since I only use “Fat Max” tapes, I followed the advise of most here and pre-stretched it last night.I left the plastic sheath in when I did it. I filled up my kitchen sink with hot tap water just enough to cover the tape pocket, probably only about 15 min in total, pulling it out intermittently to “work” the leather, then I pushed my 25’ Fat Max into it and let it sit overnight...that’s it! This morning my 25’ fit perfectly and my 16’ Fat Max slides in and out effortlessly. (See pics). With a little more soaking and working I can see how it would easily fit a 35’ tape.All in all, very pleased with this tool holder and if it was lost I would buy another without hesitation.

It's a sexy lookin tool pouch with even sexier function. Long story short for those who don't wanna read, It's sturdy, looks and feels, like it'll last me a very long time as long as I clean and oil it once in a blue moon. It's uncommon for a welder to have a tool belt, but since I use these tools constantly I thought I'd give it a try. I'm glad I did! Like every genuine leather accessory it comes very stiff. My tools and marker wouldn't fit but after learning from YouTube university I poured boiling water, just hot enough to where you see lil bubbles, on it and stuffed my tools in with some spacers to loosen it. Did it a few times and left it over night and now everything fits like a glove. It has a box cutter casing thing in it that happens to keep my welpers in place and sticking out just right. Without it the pouch is very spacious. Definitely give it a go if you're in the market for a good piece of equipment for work.

I remodel houses for a living. This thing is a life saver. The plastic tool holder grips my dewalt utility knife perfectly as well as a standard wooden pencil. I use the tapered holder on the front to hold a carpenters pencil and I clip on a sharpie to it. My 16 ft Stanley fat max was a tight squeeze at first but after a week or 2 it fits perfect. My Klein multi screwdriver didn’t fit in the tapered holder on the back but it was nothing I couldn’t fix myself with some leather scraps. The only complaint I have is the clip on is nearly impossible to get off of your belt. So I drilled out the rivets and just run it through my belt. The leather is nice and thick and high quality. I’m hoping to get many years out of this product

This is a unbelievable tool belt!! the quality is 1st class. I'm a floorlayer so I needed something that was compact to carry my tools that I need all the time! I Love it❤️

Really glad I purchased this. So much more handy than wearing a full tool belt for carrying a tape and other bits. Really Great and strong quality and having the belt clip is great. Due a Stanley powerlock perfectly 👍
