So you have to look at it this way with this product it's for me when I'm inserting plumbing into a wall the last thing I want is a leak or potential leak.So I use this along with Teflon tape and been doing so for many many years and I've never had a leak.I don't do plumbing as a full-time gig I do the odd renovation in my own personal property but in this case I built a new bathroom in the basement and instead of going out and buying a large commercial container with the rush I buy one of these and it will last me years literally.Just know this that it's actually cheaper to buy the larger container with a brush from an initial cost point because this is much more expensive for the small tube if you compare quantity however the large containers will go dry or bad after about 5 years of not being used at least if this one dries up it's not all that bad.Overall it's a great brand I've been using this brand for a long time and I've got no complaints about it.

no mention in description that it is not for use on plastic threads.

Not sure if this is what did it but it helps to fix a leak on my wife side of the sink after I replaced our sink and vanity

Worked to seal a slow leak where pipe tape was not sealing well. It can be a little messy to use but it does a great job

This putty is always nice to have in my travel trailer as well as at home. There are aways strange connections in the travel trailer and this stuff always works and has never leaked. Also super useful when hooking up dissimilar materials when connecting a filtration system to an existing well water home system. Tape is great, you still need this occasionally!

I won't go back to Teflon tape after trying this. I can screw up anything and everything but this was easy peasy no leaky!

I'm a little old school in that I was always taught to use PFTE on the roll. BUT in some un-ideal situations like slightly out of round pipes, worn threads, or who else knows why, I would inevitably run in to a leaky connection on potable water connections. The most recent one was on a toilet shut off that was threaded to copper. I tried three times sealing with PFTE tape only to have it still leak. Removed the tape and this stuff fixed it right up! Highly recommend!

I was disappointed to read on the label that it was not recommended for plastic threads. This was conspicuously absent in the product description.

In the world of plumbers and pipe fitters around the globe, you'll find your advocates of tape and you'll find your champions of compound. Each have their pros and cons and their tips (like-if you need it to stay connected for ever, use compound, unless it's plastic). The point is, if you use compound, this is a great brand. It spreads on evenly and gives a neat and solid seal. This is the perfect size to just "have on hand" when Tape isn't your choice.
