Fill All 12 oz. Gap Filler Expanding Foam Sealant Gaps and Cracks Spray Foam Insulation Can, Waterproof Sealant with Straw, Polyurethane Expanding Foam (1x12oz)I’ve used several brands of spray foam gap filler/insulation over the last thirty years or so, for many different projects. After using one can of this TYTAN brand, performance wise, I find it to be just as good as the major brand I use most, which is some great stuff. The only real negative I found is that TYTAN is very expensive on a per ounce comparison, being more than double in cost of what I would pay at the local big box store. If this is your first time to use spray foam gap filler, spray a little on something you don’t care about to get a feel for how it is going to operate. I will just about guaranty you are going to gush a whole lot more out of the can than you anticipate. Be prepared to use the whole can in one use. With this type of spray nozzle and application straw, it cannot be partially used and the balance stored for later. The product within the straw and nozzle will cure and block any more product from being retrieved. If you clean the straw applicator out or have an additional straw to change out, you can probably use the can intermittently throughout a day. Otherwise, even if there is obviously usable product left in the can, tomorrow and beyond you won’t get it out. Also, this stuff can be very messy and is very sticky. Don’t wear clothes that you don’t want to ruin. Even with the best of care, you’ll probably accidentally get some on yourself. It will not wash out. If you get it on your skin, and if it has not cured, you can clean it off with acetone or finger nail polish remover. If you let it cure on your skin, oh well, it will wear off in a couple of days.Every can of spray foam I’ve used, including this one, states “Easy to trim, sand and paint.” That is a true statement. But, don’t let that fool you into thinking that will make it into a fine finished looking product. If you trim or sand, it will look rough.Just to reiterate, this is much more expensive than the great stuff I usually use.

Ordered this Fill All 12 oz. Gap Filler Expanding Foam Sealant Gaps and Cracks Spray Foam Insulation Can, Waterproof Sealant with Straw, Polyurethane Expanding Foam (1x12oz) - to use sealing some gaps in the floor between the basement and home. It works as well as any other foam I have used in the past, but I am by no means an expert. I like the temperature range of use, quality product branding and information. This is not a fly by night product but one from a reputable brand. Not a ton in the can and as with all foam you will probably not get a second use out of it so find all your little gaps ahead of time. Be sure to wear gloves... stuff is nasty... let it dry then cut it if you have to don't try to wipe it as it is expanding...

I have used other foam filler in the past and this seems to work about the same way. It does work well for large gaps which is what I used it for. We recently had our front steps and driveway leveled with a foam company (I think it's better than mud jacking) but there was a section at the base that wasn't filled very well when they were done. This can was just what I needed to fill the rest of it and make it look a lot nicer. Like other varieties, it's a little messy if you get the straw near the end so I recommend wearing gloves and trying not to touch it until it's fully cured. At that point, you can go ahead and trim off any extra with a simple saw or knife. One thing to keep in mind is that if any of it is exposed to UV light (like the sun) you will want to paint it so it doesn't fall apart. Some gray spray paint and mine looks like it belongs with the cement around it. The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is because another brand I have used in the past had a way to cap off the straw in case you don't use the whole can at one time. This one doesn't seem to offer that (unless I missed something) so if you have a small project, you might consider other areas where you can use the rest of it.

In my bus conversion, I didn't want to make unnecessary holes right off the bat on the metal skin of the bus. Instead, I took down the half bus window (just slid it down), cut a piece of wood to fit and secured that wood to the metal window frame. That is where my water inlet system and solar cables have been brought to the inside of the bus until I am sure of how well my interior layout works. I mean, just like when you first move into a new place, you don't have a full-blown idea of how everything is going to fit, right? And with a 5-window minibus, I have limited space but want to squeeze as much into the build to make it useful, comfortable and yes, homey. But right now, I am looking at what's inside the bus and hesitant to make holes until I'm sure. The piece of wood that allows ingress for water and solar cables does fit, but not perfectly so in other words, needed this gap filler to seal the gaps around both the outside and the inside. I wanted something that I could eventually remove without too much trouble when my conversion plans have solidified to the point I know EXACTLY where I will drill the holes for the solar cables and add the water inlets for tank as well as water that bypasses the tank (city water at a campground for example). I didn't use all this foam for the small piece of wood, but this was exactly what I needed right now. Happy with the results.
