Used 36grit discs on heavily rusted rear subframe / axles / wheel carrier. Worked far better than $40 carbide wire wheel I got earlier. Contrary to other reviews, the edges of the abbrasive does not wear out quick; do not apply over pressure, remove in layers at high rpm and the discs last. Only used 8 discs to get entire rear end done.

These donât last as long as the 3m brand but you get a lot for the price. I like them however next tim Iâm getting 3 in hers so I can cut them down to 2â when the edge wears out so theyâll last twice as long.

Grit holds up well and lasts longer than the cheap stuff you find at most box stores.

They give you everything to use them, but these quick change discs fit on my other standard 2-inch Holder, working fine to remove rust from metal in relatively small spaces when used on a right handle die grinder. It's easy to see that you'd have much less room to use them when mounted on a drill - but it's nice to know you have that option, if it'll work given your project space. Pressed down or spun fast, these discs can produce sparks when sanding metal, so I had to keep this in mind when I ground metal on my car, in which I'm changing fuel lines. But be careful w/ the edge of the sanding disc, which is paper-backed and can be torn up fast, narrowing your sanding circumference. If you grind these down small, you obviously can use them longer, but in that case they're a little harder to remove from their backing plate. I always turn off or unplug my sanding tool, when removing the discs, to avoid an accident on my fingers! And use a mask to avoid breathing the dust created. Keep the tool moving for more smooth sanding.

The abrasive is pretty good and the adhesive that holds it is not bad either. BUT the adhesive that secures the disc to the screw on mandrel is still inferior. The disc comes apart if you catch it on anything like a rough edge. They are better than many of the cheaper disc. But still inferior to the 3M or other U S ones. But they do not cost near as much as the U S brands.

These work great. Compared to other the Harbor Freight discs I use to buy, these are substantially better. They last longer and are more effective at sanding metal welds down. Plus, you get much more for your money. I recommend them.
