You aren't going to be doing any major construction with these, but they do work in a pinch. Took less than 4 minutes to saw through a 1 1/2 inch branch of seasoned hard wood. The ring handles will stretch and unwind if you put a lot of pressure on them, such as threading sticks through them to get a better grip. So you have to watch for that. Otherwise, great to have oIn your car, purse, backpack, camping gear, etc and enough of them that you can do that.

PRODUCT/THOUGHTS:This kit contains 9, individually packaged wire saws in a plastic carrying case. The actual cutting area is about 22 inches and they do cut. They are not sharp if you directly put your hand on the wire, but best to keep them away from children and pets. These are small, lightweight, and convenient to take camping or keep in your emergency bag. This is a great item to keep at home for maintenance projects: yardwork, pumping repairs, irrigation projects, etc.Simply grab one ring with each hand, extend the wire over the cutting area, and move back and forth while applying some pressure. Because of its unique design, it makes cutting easy in small places tools could not normally reach. It is made well and looks like it will last.
