Great replacement for silky brand poles. Extremely sharp out of the box and oval tubes designed for heavy use. Used by a professional arborist.

Spent the big bucks and glad I did. Tree co. gave me $1,200 bid on 8 limbs over house - did it myself in one hour with the Nobasu. Cleanup took 2 hours and job done! saw paid for itself. Cuts and handles excellent its awesome 20 foot reach baby no bouncing no pinching - the Japanese made Hayate 16.5 inch blade is AWESOME! you get what you pay for and Im happy spend the money you wont be disapointed. Peace out from N.E. Kansas

Blade is great. Locking pins on pole extension are garbage. Only used this twice since purchasing and the locking pin is stuck. Very gentle use. Extremely disappointed considering the price.

Arrived in a loosely opened box delivered by USPS. The package did not contain the 2 bolts needed to connect the blade shank to the pole (see attached image). The pole and the blade arrived taped together, so I'm guessing since the box was not sealed, the bolts fell out somewhere between the manufacturer and here.

The product works exceptionally well. It's stable when extended. The blade tears right through tree limbs effortlessly. The problem is amazon. They keep shipping this without thumbscrews to connect the blade to the pole, with me and the reviews I chose to ignore before me. The replacements will cost you 15.00 with a shipping time over a week, so factor that in.

I have another cheaper brand of polesaw I purchased at the giant DIY store, and it has performed well over the years. But after I did some pruning with my new Notch Nobasu pole saw, I now know my other saw is a POS compared to this beauty. The telescoping sections lock very securely when extended. You do need to fully extend each section before locking it in place, you cannot lock it at the midpoint. When all four sections are fully extended (the 20' model) it is a bit unwieldy to handle. You will definitely work your upper body strength if you use if for an extended period of time. The handle is a very nice rubber grip that extends almost all the way up the first section of the pole. So that assists in utilizing it, especially when the saw is fully extended. Cutting sucker growth limbs that are 1/2" in diameter or less took just one effortless downstroke with the blade. Larger limbs dead and alive cut very quickly. Obviously the thicker limbs can take a few minutes to get through. This saw performed flawlessly on all branch sizes up to 6" and made very clean cuts. It was easy to align the initial cutting position so that you could trim very close to the tree, even when the saw was over 20' above you. Initially when I purchased it I was worried that the price would not be returned in its performance. However I must say I am glad I spent the extra for it, because it is worth every penny of it.
