I use these to make Norwegian tarts and there is a recipe on the box. They are a nice quality and weight. The size is perfect for filling with whip cream and fruit (lingonberries) or strawberries etc. I wash and make sure to dry well (heat in oven) before storing.
Wonderful. Love it

I ordered these to make one of my mom’s favorite cookies. The tins are great. They were easy to wash and then season to prep. I used some shortening and baked them then wiped off the excess grease. Once that is done they are ready for using and the cookies slide right out after baking. The tins are also pretty sturdy yet flexible enough to help pop out any edges that didn’t immediately release. I do recommend trying to use similar sizes when baking. Some of these are a bit larger or smaller so I tried keeping the sizes together so cookies weren’t over or under baked. Great tins.

Perfect shape & size for the ITALIAN BOCCONOTTI COOKIES, but they stick like crazy, so you HAVE to coat them with something & they are thin, so you have to wait a bit for them to cool before you can use again.

Very happy with this set of 36 tartlet molds from Norpro I bought through the Amazon warehouse at a very low price. 36 seems a lot, but it is the perfect set for salty amuse-bouches made with puff dough filled with ham, mini sausages, tapenade or other ingredients. 6 shapes and 6 molds for each shape. If you do not want all the set you can always give half to your mother/daughter/friends. At a regular price the set is still cheap. It is because it is made of tin, a very easy material to work with. I do not see it that sturdy, but enough for its use. Be careful the edges can be a little bit sharp. You can use them also upside down to have fun shapes when making biscuits. their dimension for each of them can vary from 2.5 inches to 3.5 inches. The molds are rectangular, round (small/big), ovoidal and triangular. Of course they can be useful for tartlets (my favorite are puff pastry + grapes or apples covered with quince jelly) and you will find a lot of recipes on internet. It is a great and chickier way to present food, it is more appealing than having a huge amount of unappetizing food on the table. Not only it helps people to eat smaller portions, but they will love the attention/presentation.

I finally got to use my little tins! I love them. I made a chocolate cookie crust for some tartlets with a recipe that has you make essentially cookie crumbs and then mix with butter and press into the pans. The pans performed as expected but I did learn that to get the tartlet shells out in one piece you must wait until they are COMPLETELY cold. I'm talking, stick them in the fridge and come back in 4+ hours. I made the mistake of trying to take them out after an hour or two and they just crumbled. I did not have any issues with rusting after washing them like some reviews stated. But I also made sure to dry each one by hand to help stop this from happening (although my husband lovingly washed a few and did not do this, and they were fine).

NEVER WASH THESE TINS!! THEY ARE NOT MEANT TO BE CLEANED WITH WATER!! As my Norwegian cookbook says, " Do not wash tins or bakkels [cookies, tarts] will stick. Use a dry toothbrush and soft cloth to clean tins." If you DID wash them, reseason them with a coating of fat in a fairly hot oven for about 30 minutes, dry, and store.Very good value for the money. While not all Amazon companies & orders work well, this experience went beautifully. NORPRO sped the order in four days standard shipping, clearly-labelled and securely-packaged -- SIX STARS for efficiency and reliability. A bonus heart-shaped tin brings the total to 37.These Norwegian sandbakkel tins have not been used as yet, only seasoned by spritzing them with cooking oil, spreading in a large rimmed pan, leaving in 350/400-degree oven for 30 minutes, and then wiping dry with paper towels. But they match my original fluted round tins in depth and weight, and their pretty shapes and nice cardboard box earn them five stars, with one star subtracted only due to the "Made in China" outsourcing. If I needed more great tartlet or Norwegian sandbakkel tins, for baking or for crafts, I would re-order these. The oval and oblong shapes offer wonderful options for filling and decorating while the small round shape perfectly suits such things as rich chocolate. Norwegians use the tins for plain shortbread as well as filled cookies, and the tins are easy to use.At the same time I ordered these, I also ordered specialty nonstick tins from a non-Amazon Wisconsin vendor. The variety was less, the price more, the postage more, yet -- after a month -- no tins. Only after a voice-mail left on their direct line did the company cancel my order. Never again. Stick with these from NORPRO.

I ordered yesterday, got today - WOW! I'm in love, too cute. I'm having a tea party for my gran (85), with my little sister and bff will be in attendance on Sunday. I was going to just cut the sandwiches, scones, cakes up with a knife. The edges on these are nice, a little sharpness enough to cut into something soft like bread and now I'll have lil decorative sandwiches. I can also cut into the scones and cakes and serve it all pretty like when we go to tea at Four Seasons. Me and gran are allergic to chocolate, so I can cut into a cheese cake with this and top it with fruit or make a graham cracker crust and cut out the shape and top with fruit and whipped cream. Gran will have a blast. Little custard tarts topped with fruit ... endless possibilities. Thanks Norpro and Amazon.
