Important Note: Almost ALL furnace filters have a different "actual size" than the nominal size printed on the air filter. It's best if you measure your air filter for the EXACT size and compare it to our "Actual Size". With the 4" and 5" air filters there is a wider variance depending on the manufacturer. Nordic Pure Honeywell Replacement MERV 12 rated air filters are traditional 5” filter at an actual 4 3/8”. You should always measure your current filter or the housing to make sure the actual size correlates with the filter you are ordering. Nordic Pure pleated air filters are manufactured using a heavy-duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. There is a metal mesh grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. We replaced our electrostatic filter with these a decade ago, this brand is much higher quality than what our local HVAC company installs. I like the thicker profile to keep air flowing freely over time.

They just work, and are the most affordable option on Amazon. The only complaint I have is the bulk pricing makes no sense. You can order a bulk pack of these, but they are more expensive than simply changing the quantity on a single item. What is going on there?

Good option to replace my more expensive, compatible filter.. These are very wide so they aren't available in most big box stores and AC companies want a fortune. This worked out well.

This filter perfectly fits my HVAC. I switched to this brand from the built-in electronic air filter and could not be happier. I feel like there is less dust, dander, and cat hair being recirculated throughout the house. The filter is replaced about every nine months and seems to be doing the job.

Fits right against a 20” box fan. I run it 8 hrs a day on a timer in my basement. It’s much quieter and lower power than running the furnace blower. The filter seems to be working well.

This filter is of EXCELLENT and SUPERIOR quality compared to the filters that my HVAC company provides for system maintenance. I had always trusted my installer and maintenance company to replace with the best filters, and they charged me over $40 for each filter (two units means two filters for every change out). Fast forward to August 2023, I decided to try out these filters after reading some reviews. I bought a set of two Nordic Filters for around $50. I was able to have them shipped in an Amazon box at no extra charge to prevent crushing of the filter boxes. To my amazement, each filter is encased in one of the sturdiest, non-crushable boxes I have seen in a very long time! Way to go Nordic Pure on protection for your product and thank you Amazon for extra shipping protection. These filters are of such high quality that I now have them on Subscribe & Save through Amazon. I hope I can stay locked in at this exceptional price.

This was an "experiment" to test out a higher quality filter in our home HVAC system. I was somewhat concerned that increasing from a Merv 8 to Merv 12 would not be noticeable and create more back-pressure in our system. Surprise to me..., this filter made a noticeable improvement by reducing the dust, significantly, compared to the Merv 8 (Honeywell) we have used for the past 3 years. We elected to remove our Honeywell Electrostatic Filter Cartridges and replace them with a 4x20 filter (Honeywell size), after 6 years of Electrostatic . We had to many issues and poor performance from the Electrostatic Unit (it might have been killing germs??? but, it didn't remove typical dust or smells!!). We noticed a slight improvement with the original switch to a Merv 8 filter, made by Honeywell for a replacement. After 3 years and 9 cartridge filters (approx. 3 to 5 months on each), we wanted more... Our "system" is rated to handle up to a Merv 13 filter and not harm the unit, some are not (you will want to check that for your system). The issue was $$$ vs. performance vs. longevity and the challenge of every manufacture saying "ours is the best." I got lucky...This filter is worth the extra money, last longer (6 months easily for our usage, probably could go 8 or 10 with no concerns.), and cured the dust and smell issues. The extra cost is worth the expense if considering a 3 year usage pattern, my math, and the overall improvement. Hope this helps you.
