My clock was difficult compared to many. It had a square stamped box meant to contain the clock motor. I removed it and installed the clock motor. This is working fine. The clockworks seem to be higher quality than many on new clocks.

Only gave 4 stars as one set of hands do not work on this clock. They are too big and are loose. Other than that it is a good product.

I have purchased and installed these quartz clockworks in clocks I made and clocks I repaired for over 40 years. I have quartz clockworks in clocks in my house that are over 40 years old that work fine. I bought those clockworks from Klockit and they were manufactured in America at that time. This one I bought at Amazon worked until just outside of the return period. Then, it would stop and start; losing time on a regular basis. I began checking the alkaline battery for power but no problem was noted. I replaced the battery with a new one. No improvement. This week the movement just stopped working altogether before it was 4 months old. I am very disappointed and give my strongest recommendation to others to not buy this unit..

We have a great clock. Old, and expensive . Mechanical movement went south. Nobody could fix it. I pulled out the bad mechanical movement, put this one in and now it is like new. And being quartz it is dead on accurate.

This clock said "Made in England", which unusual & it has my family name on it. When the clock movement became erratic, I didn't want to get rid of it. I have never thought about replacing the clock parts on a wall clock, but of course Amazon had a million. I did order one with no hands. It measured perfectly with the original, so for $6 or $7, I thought why not. But my original hands didn't fit. I would recommend getting one with a variety of hands. Installed in about 5 minutes and even has a second hand that the original didn't have. As far as accuracy, don't know yet, but it has worked for an hour or so just fine! I also like that this one is a "No-Ticking" clock.Follow up; it's been several weeks and it keeps perfect time. The second hand is perfectly synced with my a phone.

I have two old 1960s "Standard" school clocks that are 13" in diameter with questionable motors that I wanted to revive. This may cause purists to go bananas but I've messed with keeping old clocks stock in the past and at this point I just want it to work. Two huge bonus points for modifying is not needing to run a power cord down the wall and the clock is now silent.NOTE: I wanted to keep the old hands and did a custom epoxy job to hands from the kit. This is asking a lot of this clock motor to handle the extra weight of the additional material, but the ad claims heavy duty so far it keeps perfect time.Your results may vary if trying this modification.Very satisfied customer.

I have an 25+ year old skill craft (Light house for the Blind) clock with a Navy Logo that I am fond off. It sat on the wall for a few years as broken clock. I chanced into this repair kit by luck and gave it a shot. Not only was this easy to replace, but it fit right in and had parts similar to the old broken parts. In less than a 30 minuets I had the clock functional and back in working order.I mean EASY, like a handy 5 year with a blind fold could probably use it to repair a clock. It looks good, looks classy and has a surprising good quality for the price.

I used this to replace a wall clock motor that was running too fast. It was very easy to install, the whole process took less than 5 min. It is nice to have three sets of hands so you have the right length to fit the face of your clock. The silent second hand (no ticking) is a nice feature. After three days it’s still keeping perfect time. Be sure to measure the shaft length needed so you get a Goldilocks fit (not too long, not too short, but just right). I would definitely buy this product again if needed, but expect this to keep on working flawlessly for a long time.
