They sent a kit wiyh only one set of clock hands. I kept it because I needed it now. And it's wasn't worth the hassle of retuning it. It works fine though.

i am changing my review. i found out that you have to push down firmly on the hour hand to get it to latch onto the shaft. its difficult because the hands are very thin, so you have to be careful not to bend the hand as you push down.the instructions don't tell you to push down on it until it locks in place. the hands are very thin and same with the second hand, the pin needs to be pushed firmly to connect to the shaft. once i got the hands installed, and put the battery in, the clock mechanism works and seems to be accurately keeping time.

Hands are a press fit and easy to install. Second hand works! But the clock does not tick (and I wish it did, I find the sound of a ticking clock to be very therapeutic... not a deal breaker, though).

I had no idea of how to fix my mantle clock, but this kit worked out great! Although the hands were too long for my particular clock, those were easy to snip down to the right size. Keeps time like a champ now!

This is a good replacement for my 2 clocks. The mechanism was easy to replace and install. My only complaint is that the included 2 sets of hands and sweep seconds hands r too large for both clocks. I was able to cut 1 down on the ends to make it fit, and on the other clock I used the original hands that came w/clock, but it was a bit of a challenge to accomplish getting them to fit. But in the end I got it to work. Now both clocks once again keep time accurately.

Item arrived with missing parts, unable to use. Very discouraging. I took this item out this morning to fix a broken clock but unable to use.

It came in the best little orange zip up case which is totally reusable. The clock mechanism is quiet as advertised and very easy to install.
