PERFECT for super greedy cats! On first inspection, these feel like good quality plastic -- solid, strong, easy to clean. The dishes are just deep enough to create some challenges for licking up food while not being too deep. (I've had issues with other slow-feeder grooves being too deep.) Plus, the dishes are very cute. I use one for wet food and one for dry and both work great! My tabby monster's food snarfing was slowed down to at least 3X the regular speed. There are slip resistant pads on the bottom which are helpful, but not perfect if your cat is particularly strong (mine is). I augmented with a hot glue gun to keep them attached to a mat.

These are perfect for my two cats. One doesn’t like it, but she will eat from it in between the dirty looks she’s giving me. The other cat is fine with it. It seems to slow them both down. I’ve noticed less vomiting from my vomit prone kitty.

These bowls have helped tremendously with slowing my cats down while eating! Good lord I was so tired of cleaning up cat vomit from them eating too fast. Haven't had one incident since we transitioned to these slow feeders. My only complaint is the sides being so shallow. They hold about a 1/2 cup of dry food which is the perfect amount but the shallow sides mean the cats are always making a mess around the bowls. It's a minor trade off but they are on carpeted floor and something about picking cat food up off the carpet and vacuuming so frequently annoys me. I just got a couple of cute square dishes from the thrift store to set the feeders in so hopefully that helps. Aside from a request for higher sides on these dishes, I would say they are well worth it if you're tired of cleaning up cat vomit.

I tried several different kinds of bowls and this one was shallow enough for dry foods but still has high sides to keep most of the food from being pushed out. The rounded shapes of the fish provide a challenge without being so frustrating or confining that they refuse to eat from it. Easy to clean and attractive.

My cat had a bad habit of eating too fast and throwing up. I got this to be a cute bowl but also be functional and force my cat to eat slower, but he will still manage to throw up. I like the bowls but not good for the intended purpose

I bought these to place under my cats automatic feeders, as they tend to just inhale their food without chewing. This has significantly helped them and fits perfectly under the feeders. I had to place a small patch of tape underneath so they don't slide around bc they are light weight. Very sturdy and easy to clean.

One of my cats gulps down her wet food, then vomits a few minutes later. I guessed it might be from eating too fast, so I tried these bowls. I smear the wet food around the raised parts (fish), so she has to lick instead of gulp and she hasn’t vomited since. She’d gobble her food down in seconds before and now it takes her almost 10 minutes to clean her bowl. The bowls are sturdy and have little rubber pads so they don’t move. Easy to wash if you soak them first. Problem solved!
