Kittens gulp their food. They don’t have a reflex but they gulp their food done and then meow 10 minutes later for more food. This slows them down and keeps them full longer. Sturdy and doesn’t tip or move.

I was pleasantly surprised about these cat food bowls. I’ve been getting slow feed, 15% tilt on the bowl so your cats will be comfortable and safe. I have been getting bowls similar to these, but now I have a new favorite.I hate to admit that I’ve broken most I must confess, I’ve had a few mishaps with the other bowls, (clumsy me!) which explains why I know what is good about these cat food bowls.The bowl is wider than other ones, and the nubs aren’t tall as others. This makes easier to feed the cats, just put the food in (I use wet food), and just run your silverware over it. It spreads the food further out, without spilling it over the edge. This slows down their eating, which is better for their digestion. Since I have cats that like to eat fast, and then lose their food, I can appreciate that these bowls are wider and hold more food. I don’t give them more, I just spread it out more. ;)There hasn’t been the snarf and barf since getting the bowls. My little 6 lb. cat with eyes bigger than her stomach is eating so much slower, and is keeping it down. Her brother is eating his food, instead of playing with it. These ceramic bowls are heavy and sturdy. The cats would have a hard time pushing it.I do recommend these cat bowls.

One of our cats is like a kibble hoover... he seems to just suck it up. Then he gets a bloated tummy ache, moaning and coughing and often gives it all back. These are nice and heavy, easy to clean, nice smooth edges and perfect to keep him from being able to shovel the kibble in.

these bowls are nice and heavy! they feel sturdy so i don't need to worry about my cat knocking them offer. one bowl serves as an awesome slow feeder and the second one is the water bowl

I bought this out of frustration. I had already had the raised tilted bowls for my cats. But it wasn't doing the job for one of my cats. I swear he's worse than a dog. He INHALES his food. So he would vomit immediately after eating and it would look exactly the same as it did when I put it in his bowl. Wet cat food is expensive, I didn't like that my cat was wasting his food by being an insatiable pig.I always look at the reviews, including the most recent and how many and also verifying the reviews are actually for the product you're looking at. Did you know sometimes the reviews aren't even for the product you're looking at? Idk how they get away with that but I digress.I chose this one HOPING it would work. It's been two days and no more vomiting. So it's actually working. I also decided to time how fast it take him to eat with this new bowl. It took him just under 7 minutes! Compared to basically 30 seconds and definitely less than a minute with the other bowl that had nothing stopping him from guzzling his food.I provided a picture for reference, this is one can of wet cat food from Kirkland signatures brand. I tried my best to spread it evenly so he couldn't guzzle quickly. This bowl definitely does it's job!Only complaint was I ordered different colors on purpose and I got sent two of the same color. Working on a return and hopefully I get the correct colors this time.These are like ceramic so they're heavy and breakable. Something to keep in mind if that matters to you. But if you have a guzzler like mine you won't care because you just want to stop your cat from inhaling their food and vomiting.
