This light is great if you are looking specifically for a good blue light for Glofish and glo plants. I tried 2 other lights and none of them were as blue as this. It only has blue and white light option. Wish there was a way to completely turn the light off with the remote other than relying on the built in timer.

I loved this thing. It has different brightness settings and is very versatile. I like the design and it comes with a remote control which is pretty cool. It is adjustable, so it can fit just about any tank. Just don’t drop it in the tank accidentally like I did or it will die on you sadly not waterproof. It was very sturdy though otherwise and lasted great until the catastrophe. Let’s just say it was a user error🤣

This is such a great light. The adjustments of light brightness in white and blue range, the timer, the daylight and moonlight choices. Great purchase..

I like this better than the one I bought next to it from the pet store. It's brighter and I expect it will be great for my plants. I wanted to trade out my florescent for this one. As I wanted it to match on both sides. I am also using my florescent for plants. This is an excellent choice and I am glad I got it.

Update to previous review. After responding to the requested technical testing and submitting a video. Full refund was issued. And again, great tank light, my favorite. I just have bad luck with it.I can not recommend this product. Great light when it works, otherwise garbage. Folks, it simple to set up and use, bight lights, dimmed lights, timer and then one day nothing! No power, no reason, same power strip, everything else plugged in and working. But here's the absolute worst part: this seller will send you a 2 page long winded list of demands plus sending them a video to prove its not working. Really?! They think I have nothing better to do than make false claims about a product failing yet again. You insult your customer? This is a difficult seller and an unreliable product. I do not recommend this seller at all.

Excellent product. My light burned out in my aquarium hood and looking at the prices to replace it was incredible, if you could find one for your specific aquarium. You can set the lights on this and you can slowly dim it so its not just on and off. My fish are really enjoying it and I’ve noticed they are eating better and I don’t have left over food in my tank and when I turn the light on they know its feeding time. You have the option of different settings, colours etc. Really worth the money and it is adjustable so it fits on my aquarium. Love it!

I have a 55 and a 10 gallon natural plant tank, and I bought the 18" version of this for the 10 gallon some months back. It made plants transplanted from the 55 into the 10 thrive in a way I hadn't seen before. The light is bright, it is stable, and I like how much taller they are than my previous LEDs. The aluminum body pulls heat away and just works really well. They are wide, so more light gets into the tank.When I'd finally had enough of the cheaper 18" units I had on my 55 gallon, I went ahead and got 2 of these 24" lights and they have changed the lighting of my tank drastically. While there are still shadowy spots for fish to hide in, light gets all the way down to the bottom of the tank and gets to places I want that it wasn't getting to before, which will greatly improve plant growth and health. I love the fact that you can actually control the brightness level, too, so if I see that having brighter light is not sitting well with the fish, I can adjust it.While these aren't the least expensive LEDs you can get for a tank, if you want to grow real plants, I can't recommend them enough.The one thing I'd like to see different is switch placement. While I'm super happy about having long cords from the light, it would be better if the switches were closer to the light and further from the plug. On a 55 gallon tank, the switches are in the cabinet instead of being able to easily be held on the side of the tanks by suction cups. While I have these on timers, sometimes I do like to bypass them to turn on night mode and having the switches housed inside my cabinet is less convenient. It's a nit, but a small room for improvement nonetheless.

I'm about 2 years into being an Aquarist and received a 30 gal tank and supplies from a neighbor who hadn't used it in many years. It had one of those traditional black plastic hoods with bulged section for the fluorescent tube light. It was fine, I was just starting out and it didn't cost me much to start the hobby. I enjoyed it except the one annoyance of not being able to use a timer with a fluorescent light. So having to turn on/off all the time and sometimes being out my fish spent some time in the dark until I came home to put the light on.So my search began recently after seeing so may nice online pictures of pristine aquariums beautifully lit. I first searched for complete LED hood sets to replace what I had, but all seemed cheap with mixed reviews. Then started seeing these light bars for tanks and wondered how those work with hoods. Then progressed my search onto glass tops that fold and this light bar sit over one section. Not bad I thought. Ordered this light and glass top only to find the glass top is like a 1/16th too wide to sit inside the tank opening on the ledge. Damn!Then remembered my old tank hood actually separates from the Fluorescent light part and reveals a glass window. Well this light bar fits right over that perfectly and rests on the edge of tank with it's extendable support bars.WHAT A MAJOR TRANSFORMATION!!! It's like a new aquarium and I am newly enjoying the aquarium. Get rid of your fluorescents if you still have them! Wonderful brightness with blue mood settings, mix of white/blue, just white and dimmable as it says. So nice.So what about my timer dilemma? It has a 8, 10 and 12hr setting. So I set it one day expecting it to go off on its own. It does. But viola! It also comes back on again at the same time next day you turn it on prior day! So a complete timer all by itself now comes on at 11am and goes off by itself at 11pm, with no other plug-in timer needed.Want more?? Well how about this! It is fish friendly for those slow morning risers and nocturnal type fish, cause it comes on dim first then brightens to max on its own. Opposite at night with it going dim to blue for a while before shutting off. TOTALLY AWESOME!! LOVE IT!! and Highly recommend this product.Looks like good quality to me and longevity I can't say at this time. But I am super happy I bought this product!!Well designed and thought out. Has re-energized by aquarist hobby mood!

I was looking for a 48inch light for my 75 gallon tank, the local aquarium store wanted $179 for the light. Found this one on Amazon for $89 and I’m not disappointed at all. You can switch between both blue and white or have both on together. They both have 5 different brightness settings. It has a timer function and will shut off if needed by pushing the M button for three seconds (I’ve seen a lot of reviews saying it doesn’t turn off). Definitely take the time to read the manual. I’m glad I decided to take a chance and spend half the price for the same quality light. If you get this, you won’t be disappointed!

I love it, very bright and high quality for the money. 2 of the 18-24inch sets fit perfectly on my 55 gallon aquarium. Very aesthetically pleasing and I like that it’s flat, not curved like some lights out there. It has pretty bright white and blue lights with lots of settings, all work well. One thing I would want to change is, it doesn’t have an actual on/off switch, it just has different setting so I need to actually unplug it if I want it off. So far so good though. I just keep it on the lowest blue setting at night. Brackets were a bit difficult to put into the lights but it worked out well. Overall I give it a 4.5 out of 5. Very high quality but not completely perfect... in my opinion. Definitely worth the money and I would by from this brand again!
