The system for calculating hours is very complicated. I do not recommend it.

I recently purchased the NGTeco Fingerprint Time Clock for my small business, and overall, it has been a great investment. It’s an affordable, standalone solution for tracking employee hours without needing WiFi or paying monthly fees, which was exactly what I was looking for.Setting up the time clock was pretty straightforward, and the instructions were clear for basic functions like registering fingerprints and logging employee hours. However, I did need to watch a YouTube tutorial to figure out how to access one of the features—it wasn’t as intuitive as I’d hoped. That being said, once I learned how to navigate the system, it worked smoothly. The fingerprint scanner is accurate and responsive, quickly recognizing employees and reducing clock-in issues. I also like that it supports shift schedules, making it easy to track different work periods without confusion. The no WiFi requirement is a huge plus since I don’t have to worry about network issues interfering with the system. For the price, this time clock is definitely worth it. It’s a simple, reliable, and cost-effective solution for small businesses that need a no-fuss way to track employee hours. While there is a bit of a learning curve with some features, it’s easy enough to manage once you get the hang of it. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly, standalone time clock, this is a solid choice!

Way too complicated to setup and reports have to be downloaded to a memory stick, pretty much a pain in the neck. Then they say reply to their message “full return” for a refund. I do that and they continue to jerk me around. Stay away

Imagine you own a factory in the 1950's and you want to make sure Mary Jane can't clock in her boyfriend Johnny when he's late again. So, you throw out the old mechanical time clock in favor of new computerized tech. Back when folks didn't work from home, nor did they live in modern day communism; there was need for such devices. You get an instruction manual, power cord, screws for mounting and a USB thumb drive for transferring data. I guess the boss can't hook it up to Wi-Fi. Your fingerprint serves as the biometrics. I guess tapping your phone to a sensor at the door is out of the question. The entire system feels like 15 year old tech and 60 year old thinking.

Right off the bat, I found myself not loving this product. The short version of this review is the fact that this product is rather outdated and features a less than intuitive user interface. Once you have bested the challenging learning curve, you will find that you have a product that does what it says BUT it does not make the process, overly streamlined. While having a time clock present in any environment can immediately bring about some level of change in your employee's approach to on-time arrivals and metered breaks or lunch, this one provided for a rather rough start as the use of it requires a bit of getting used to, due to a rather rough interface design. While I will agree that this time clock is good at tracking individual's time stamps, I am NOT-AT-ALL a fan of the dated technology manner of data migration. This task must be done with a USB storage device as opposed to either a Wi-Fi or bluetooth method. That is a deal breaker for me, it is just far less convenient a method than others that support more modern technology at this or a similar price point. I also find the finger scanner to be too finicky. More than a few attempts were required for the sensor to be satisfied with the readings for almost all the individuals being registered with the clock. This device, surprisingly, features a battery backup so that time monitoring and data protection are not interrupted. That is a pleasant added feature.Overall though, I am not overly impressed and would not recommend this particular device even at this price point. It is definitely a "budget" device and I feel there are better options available, even when they feature slightly higher price points. This, simply put, was not a very smooth or confidence inspiring experience.

You'd think in 2024 something like this should be flawless but it isn't. So the quality of it is pretty good from the touch part. Setting up the system was okay. I'm a techy guy so I don't mind. I can see how it can be tedious to anyone who's the owner and isn't techy. Setting up people is a pain as you have a T9 pad to setup their fingerprint and name. Recommend abbreviations to keep it short and sweet. I also recommend a pin number to everyone who's assigned just so the scanner doesn't work. You're trusting shotty computer system to scan your finger. It's like face ID. Not always working when you need it to. I mean if I were to compare this fingerprint scanner to a phone that has that, the phones were way better than this. The thumb drive they give is a nice touch as you do need to extract data from it. Sets up a table file and easy to gloss over.Overall, it's okay. I'd give this a 3.5/5 but going to round it up.

This time Clock does the job. The fingerprint scanner works most of the time, but can be a bit inconsistent. Setup was easy, and the USB data transfer is a nice feature. However, it's not always as fast or accurate as I’d like. Overall, it’s a decent option for a small business, but there’s room for improvement.

I'm using this at my small shop with just a couple employees. We don't really need it, it was more to test it out than to implement a new system. The setup was mostly painless, I don't mind menus and things like that. Build quality seems good and it does scan as one might expect. It's fairly easy to use once the system is set up. I like that it doesn't connect to wifi or anything like that. I don't mind transferring data via USB drive either. This does keep track of time, if only the boss (cough cough) would follow the timekeeping rules he put in place... Good value I would say, you likely won't find a cheaper option. This is worth purchasing if you are looking for a non-networked time clock.

I am using this for my small company and shop to record my time and my son's time and keep track of it all. It helps me figure out project times, labor spent and comes with a usb to transfer all data from the time clock and import it. I would recommend this to any small shop trying to keep track of labor cost and time on jobs.
