Purchased the RX160iN, I was not sure if it came with the valve kit (nothing in the description) and did not unfortunately which that makes the price not a savings compared to Home Depot. The unit is nice and insulated easy.Love the endless hot water.

Love this tankless hot water heater! We never run out of hot water and with the remote Bluetooth Re-circulation Push Button (RPB200, you can have up to 5), we activate the demand for hot water only when we need it. While you can still wait momentarily for the hot water, the difference is your not running water while you wait! When we anticipate demand for hot water, we simply push the button (located near kitchen and bathroom sinks), and after a moment or two, turn on the water and it's hot! No more paying for water and sewage fee's just waiting for hot water. You can thank the "Thermal Bypass Valve", included with the RXP model, that is installed at the furthest point away from the water heater (unless you have a dedicated re-circulation return line, which we didn't).One consideration many people overlook, is what happens during a power outage. The answer is "nothing", literally! The unit requires electricity to ignite the gas burners. For this reason, the need to include a backup power source for emergency's is crucial. We included a battery backup unit from Safeguard Power Solutions called "Hugo", which transfers power to the tankless unit immediately upon detecting a power failure, and maintains that power until either the grid power is restored, or the battery is depleted. In an attempt to extend the potential life of the battery, we also purchased the "Flow-Sensor" option with our Hugo purchase. This limits the demand for power to only when water flow is detected (when someone turns on the hot water), rather than draining the battery constantly. While an added cost to the project, life with a tankless unit is different from life with a tank style hot water heater (that 50 gallon reserve of hot water is gone). The initial installation costs will be higher, primarily because a tank style water heater is generally plumbed from above, while a tankless unit plumbs from the bottom, requiring more extensive modification. Having said that, in the future, replacement units should be simple, as is replacing a tank style with a new tank style unit would be today. Finally, I would be remiss not to mention the $600.00 tax credit (30% of purchase/installation cost, up to $600.00 max), we received when filing our tax's this year (2024). The tax credit is limited to only the most efficient models, so do your homework before making a purchase decision.**Water Heaters (Natural Gas) Tax Credit:https://www.energystar.gov/about/federal-tax-credits/water-heaters-natural-gas-oil-propane-tax-creditThis tax credit is effective for products purchased and installed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2032.

Arrive double box in perfect condition !! This is a great unit, set up was super easy. Replaced an older Rinnai this new model is like 20 pounds lighter. The older unit developed a leak after 15 years (probably my hard water) and the authorize repair center wanted almost as much as a new one to repair so I got this one. I was able to use the original concentric vent so I was happy about that. This model I installed was without the recirculating pump. I don’t mind waiting just a couple of minutes for hot water the recirculation kind of defeats the purpose of not using energy until you need it!! One note about my installation is I have a glitchy power grid so I have a UPS connected to mine to protect it from surges and momentary power losses. Even though it’s gas fed when you lose power no more hot water!

Got this and it works beautifully. This unit has remarkable efficiency and crafted with the kind of quality you just don't see on tank based units. Like comparing a formula 1 car to a farm implement. My utility company was offering a $1300 rebate which made the decision a no brainer.

I have got it from amazon installed by professional assistance, firstly ℹ disappointed with the temperature max to 120F you cannot change manually, unless i noticed app with professional account its connected via Bluetooth and i can enable recirculating water and also temperature can be maxed at 140F . Only draw back is take few seconds to reach water on morning!! Except that all is good takes less space then 1 suitcase 🧳Now it covers 2 units with separate laundry units and dishwasher + 2 washrooms + 2 kitchens so far so good, same tank was around 4k in rona and good thing is that you can get 5+ 5 years of labour and parts warranty make sure you register your product on installation!! Otherwise it defaults to 90 days !!

Installed it my self as DIY handyman. Read the manual cover to cover. I Just left the Gas line to be finalized with licensed HVAC/Gas person, they also inspected my venting work, saved a lot. Make sure you have enough BTU coming in for all the gas appliances, some of gas people who gave me quotes will do shortcuts and did bad calculations , rinnai manual also doesnt have pipe elbows accounted in their BTU calculation book, calculate and confirm BTU coming in yourself with proper gas line code manual. Works perfectly, recirculation pump and valve does its job. The only thing you will have to get proper fittings for valve to be able to attach it to the furthest faucet. Valve has 1/2 fittings and most faucet have 3/8. But thats easy fitting. Great Product!

High quality build and tech design. Installation is straight forward thanks to the excellent, detailed instruction manual*. Nonetheless, pre-planning mounting location, materials, electrical service outlet if not already available, is strongly advised. To really maximize energy efficiency, the On Demand BLE Bluetooth button accessory is recommended vs the auto cycle which I found to be cycling every 10mins vs. 28mins as defined by the temperature setting. It was to the point that even the cold water taps were warm, so a lot of wasted energy. Instead, we bought the BLE button accessory ($32) to activate the water recirculation 5 min cycle while getting ready to shower; we turn on shower and with 15 seconds, hot water is flowing saving lots of water and energy!! We are thrilled by knowing we will be saving tons of water and energy year over year.* My only critique is the installation manual is limited in explaining some of the non-critical setup parameter features when configuring the unit for initial operation and does not make clear what you need to set up the Bluetooth on demand operation. I had to call their tech support to figure out the cost effective BLE button option ($32) for on demand set up. Also the app is very limited for the customer personal use features unless you buy a wifi module accessory to allow some remote features set up (more complex installation, $200+). Overall minor quips. The unit is of high build quality and sophisticated technology design that provides hot water efficiently and saves water due to the On Demand recirc feature!! Love it!

Easy to install and very easy setup with bluetooth from your phone. Works great for a household of 5 or more. Powerful enough to use hot water at 4 places in the household at the same time. Has the water circulation pump built-in which makes it very comfortable with fast access to hot water at the faucet, no waiting. Make sure you have a drain for the condensation, best with condensate neutralizer and pump if you cannot drain into backyard. Works great, water temperature can be regulated. Supports natural gas or propane.

Good price. Great Tankless Water Heater! I had someone from Jiffy install it. Much better than my old Bosch Tankless Water Heater.
