The customer service was excellent. My original unit developed a strange leak, but they sent me a replacement after I contacted them and we diagnosed the problem. Much thanks!

Before ordering I asked if this heater came with NPT to PEX fittings and hook PEX lines directly to the heater. The reply I got was that the water heater comes with a full set of accessories, so I could install it directly without having to buy the adapters. The heater I received had only BSP to GHT adapters. I had to order the adapters separately.

The unit easy to install, great looks and good value for your $. the only thing I have a probleme with is the water temperature for the shower that does not go below 113 F. It is to hot for a shower. I have contacted Camplux and waiting for a solution.

I use this to heat my 18' circular intex pool, completely in violation of this item's warranty. Works great!I'm able to add a degree or more per hour to the pool even on medium-low heat. The 2gpm model would probably be more than enough. Each tank of propane can heat the pool about 5-6 degrees. That means this thing goes through propane _very_ quickly. You'd better be dedicated to the idea of paying to heat your pool. I'm going to try getting my tanks filled at uhaul.Mine does not seem to have a 20-minute shutoff. I've run it for hours at a time. If it did, simply interrupting the flow of water for a second or two is all that's needed, from what I gather. It came with adapters that let me hook up garden hoses to both the input and the output. The adapters are marked "3/4 NPT". This is a lie. They are most definitely 3/4 GHT which is not the same! The female adapter is a total PITA to use because it doesn't rotate freely like a normal garden hose female connector. Do yourself a favor and buy hose ends and make a 1ft length of hose. You can easily screw that into the female adapter and then use its free-rotating female connector to connect to the rest of the hose.I use a water transfer pump that I bought here on Amazon. It has two male garden hose connectors on it. It runs when plugged in, so I plugged it into a WiFi power outlet so that I can turn it on from my phone. The water heater is a glorified length of hose. As soon as the pump starts the flow of water through it, it kicks on, starts its fire, and heats the water passing through it. You control the temperature with two knobs: one that controls the water flow rate and one that controls the flame height. A third knob switches between "eco" and "full" mode. Full mode turns on an additional section of flames on the sides (in addition to the center flame which is always on).I keep it on eco and keep the flame medium to low, on the theory that I want the water to take away at much of the heat as possible. I want as like as possible if the heat to escape out the side or up the exhaust. The water comes out at around 100F.I attached a filter to the intake hose. Otherwise, leaves get sucked in and clog up the little filter screen that comes with this heater. All in all, works great. We'll see if the salty, chlorinated water causes corrosion or buildup that destroys this heater's ability to heat water...

Updated Review is below (9/2019):Holy cow. Customer Service really really came through. Very well done Camplux. I bought the HWT in January 2020. Immediately discovered an issue with a leaky seal in march 2020. Did a quick fix with the seal and felt subpar about the fix, so asked for the real part (seal and odd lock washer). Camplux could not get the part, perhaps because it was hard to understand, and/or because supply chain issue - COVID shutting down much manufacturing (issues with transnational free market capitalism aside). I spent a ton of time with customer service on email and phone (see below) and finally threw my hands up and gave up, figured I would always have a faulty unit. Mid august 2020, they contact me and say they will send me an entire new unit once they are back in stock. It came 3 days ago. So, I'll say first, I'm not a bot. Second, I'll say Bravo Camplux! You stuck with the issue and sent me a new one. Thank you!Original Review is below (5/2019):This is the second one of these I have bought. Unfortunately, out of the box, there was an issue. Broken seal. This causes the HWT to leak wickedly. One may think this would be easy to remedy. Nope!Essentially, there were (still are in fact) two very simple parts that I need, (1) a small rubber o-ring seal and specialty nut/washer thing. Unfortunately, after ~25 emails and ~8 phone calls and 2 packages with 'repairs' (i.e. large unnecessary parts - the same one each time), I still do not have a fully functional unit. I've sent photos of the parts with clear labels. Customer service has been nice and responsive, but clearly does not understand the issue. They offered me a 6-month extended warranty, which translates to nothing, given the issue remains. I'm pretty sure they have different offices for production and customer service and basically can't communicate well among themselves.I have since rigged up a solution with a small O-ring taken from a corny keg used for brewing and am hoping the original connector piece will suffice. However, the o-ring is too big and bending the connector piece. For $300 dollars if the unit was functioning well - awesome product. Factor in my 6+ hours of time at a reasonable rate - no way.

This water heater is great for off-grid applications. The heat output is amazing. Installation is straightforward. It does not need any external power making it great for backyard or more rustic installations. Setup was simple. The only issue we encountered was that it does not come with a rain cap and the flue is not a standard size. But a little jury rigging and we had a rain cap on it. Customer support is amazing. Fast and helpful. Have not experienced that in a while. It was because of the great customer service that I took the time to write this. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is because of the rain cap issue.
