Our water heater died on us and until we got it replaced this was a lifesaver! I had been worried about fire hazards after seeing a couple on fire in some videos but after a few cold showers I gave up and bought this. After carefully reading the instructions and making sure it was fully submerged in the water , as instructed, no issues at all. We used 5 gallon plastic buckets to heat the water to scalding in about 25-30 min and then diluted it to get enough warm water for a nice shower using a battery operated camp shower sprayer. We would use this about 2-3 times a day for about 3 months with absolutely no problems or rusting. While our water heater is now fixed this will be saved and put away in a safe spot in case of an emergency. I will emphasize that reading the instructions are a must with this and you must never leave it unattended.

This heater can boil a 5 gallon bucket of water and is awesome! My horses have appreciated the warm water this winter.

We used for kids 6ft pool and turned it into a hot tub when left over night. Sadly after a month of over use it stopped working but loved it while it lasted

Think of how huge a bathtub is. Think of how much water it holds. This little 1800W stick (or as much as it can pull out of one outlet) is just not going to make a meaningful difference in that temperature. Plus, you don't want to be in the bathtub when one of these is in there, anyway—even if it never gets hot enough to really hurt you, because of how weak it is and how quickly the heat is pulled away from it. A lot of the heat will get stuck in the extension cord if you don't have a plug nearby to avoid using one!So, if you need your bath to be 10-20 degrees hotter, there is just no mathematical way that this device will you do any good. You can do the math with Kelvins as the unit, for about 40 gallons of water. And then you can get a better water heater. This was purchased to solve a problem with our supply of hot water, and it didn't work at all for that, and now we never use it. Bummer.

I wasn't sure if this was gonna help heat up my inflatable jacuzzi faster but it worked perfectly ! My jacuzzi has a heater to but takes awhile but this helped speed it up a bit and I'm very satisfied! Thank you !

Happily very surprised how it can heat a bathtub reg size and 3/4 full.NOTE: IT TAKES A REALLLY LONG TIME FOR A TUB.But using a bucket or two gets really really hot - even dangerously scalding hot to kinda melt a plastic bucket (all my fault - forgot. But cooled in tub with cold water and nice easy bath At such a low priceI think "scary" with immersing whole thing From cord to end in water and plug into socket. No problems, but double careful I pop the switch I bought and unplug before sticking my hand in the water to check warmth.

I haven't had a working water heater in my RV in a few years. Long story but I have just had to live without it. But this helped me fix all that. I had to do it in a round-about way but it works. I use a 5 gallon bucket and fill it all the way up with water. I put the heater into the bucket and then plug it into the outlet.I set the timer for 20 minutes and then go check the temperature with the thermometer which is included. You can also just put your hand on the side of the bucket cause the heat is easily felt. Sometimes I let it go for another 5 or 10 minutes but it's ready by then. I unplug the heater and give it a minute to cool down. It doesn't take but a minute before you can handle it.After that I put in a backpacking shower pump and am able to take a hot shower. Rinky dink as it may sound, it's heavenly to have a hot shower again. No more washing my hair with cold water ! I would sometimes get brain freeze from the outside rather than from eating ice cream.Anyway, that's another review for that product. If you are in a pinch for hot water and are sick of having to microwave it a bowl at a time, this is a very good alternative. Give it a shot and see for yourself.12/13/23 ETA: I want to warn anyone buying this that it does not have a regulation feature on it. If it's plugged in, it's heating. Until you unplug it, it's getting the water hotter. I just left it go a little bit longer in my 5 gallon bucket, thinking it needed more time. When I went in to check on it, it was literally boiling. This is no joke. Be very careful. If you've got kids, keep them away from what you are heating.
