I bought Netgear AC1900 C7000 on Jan 26, 2024. It worked perfectly fine for couple of months. Sometimes in June / July 2024, I started experiencing some strange problems with the internet and Wi-Fi network:1. Some smart devices started disconnecting from the network;2. Internet slowed down to the degree that no longer allowed me to load a simple webpage;I started debugging this issue. I did factory reset and set it up again. It worked fine for couple of hours and then, the very same problem started happening again. My firmware is V1.01.34 and there is no way I can update it. I suppose my ISP provide is responsible for that (Comcast).I went back to using my old modem / router Netgear C6620 and everything works fine there. My complain is: I paid $120 for AC1900 and it stopped working after just couple of months. Netgear doesn't seem to be interested in providing me with any help. I'm very disappointed with this product.

I was tired of paying add on fees for rent the router for my internet service provider so I decided to check for what options might be out there that I can buy at an affordable cost. I always knew that Netgear brand to be highly reliable as I have used them in the past so I was delighted to get this one at a pretty good price here. Truely affordability meets quality, iam in love with this router as it suits my needs perfectly, I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable router.

Speed is great and signal is decent for a 1500sqf apartment. Pretty easy to setup with xfinity. However, please note it does not come with a coaxial cable so you need to get one yourself.

Everything was super easy to set up with the help of the app, and it has been a great improvement in both range and connection speeds from my old router!

Works great, fits in a slim space where it doesn't have to be seen. Love that I could set it up myself.

I got this to save the $15 per month that it would have cost to rent a similar device from Comcast. It was relatively easy to setup. I really wanted to do it on my computer, but when I tried to log in, it kept steering me to download and install from the Nighthawk app on my phone. That worked, but I find phone apps more tedious to use than just doing it on the PC. I guess there is a way to use a PC, but they certainly don't make it easy. Once I got it setup, it seems to be working well.

I bought this renewed product on Amazon for $119 and got extended 2 years warranty for $30 from Netgear. So total price was $149 in all. A brand new one comes for $189 with the same warranty. So I saved $40 that I can use for a good takeout dinner!Setup was a breeze and took 10 minutes tops. Xfinity has made it very easy indeed. Comcast rented gateway was good (brand Arris) and the technical metrics on paper (such as upstream/downstream channel, WiFi speed, docsis version) on that one similar to Netgear C7000.However the C7000 blew me away with its WiFi range. My Comcast one would become spotty in my garage (2500 sq feet single family colonial house). This C7000 one works neatly from my neighbor’s entrance and I have a 120 feet long driveway. I have a 1.47 acre plot and I could make WiFi calls to folks inside the house from anywhere on the plot.My comcast one was giving WiFi drops 4/5 times a day on weekdays when many people are wfh. This one had no issues on first business day at work so far. So we will have to see how it performs over time and I will update this review if I see any problem.I called Netgear tech support to ask about additional warranty (they only sent me offers on email as soon as I registered the device) and my experience on that was very positive too. I will know more if I needed actual hardware/firmware help. So, if things don’t turn ugly, I should be saving the modem rental money after my 11th month and I anyway have full hardware warranty for 2 years.I have a 100 mbps xfinity internet package and have multiple WiFi devices (3laptops, 3phones, Roku, chromecast, home security, monitor camera, smart thermostats, smart plug, echo devices, guest phones/tabs at times, etc.) and haven’t seen WiFi drops on any yet and surfing speed is quite good too. This device supports only up to 400 mbps for Comcast - so always check that. If you are big time into online gaming then you may invest in a docsis3.1 one or a game oriented router. But this device does a hell of a job for a normal family with varying internet/WiFi needs.

So I bought this refurb throough Amazon. I also bought the 3 year protection plan with it. Because all together it was cheaper than the item new.Pros - Works well took it to my Internet Provider Imon Communcations and they were able to add it right away without any issues. Took it home and connected it up without any issue as well. It's easy to configure if you've set up one Netgear router this one works pretty much the same. Signal has been stable so far and I've got up to 15 wireless devices (Roku's, Laptops, Smart TV's, Cell Phones, Game Consoles) connected at any given time.Cons - If you want to update the firmware... you have to have your have your cable company do it because it's locked to the modem side of the modem/router combo. Signal doesn't reach as far as some other routers it's still decent but my old Netgear (R6700) Nighthawk had better range not by a lot mind you but it's noticeable.Over all I am still beyond pleased with the purchase as it allowed me to free a fair amount of space and cabling. I normally avoid router/modem combo's like the plague however this one seems to be well made.
