I had a Motorola DOCSIS 3.0 Modem which started to die out about a month ago, so I looked around and most of the modems had fairly mixed reviews. Some ran hot, others would go out just after the warranty period, but in general they all ran about 75% 5-Stars, so I figured they were relative.Since I had such great luck with replacing my WiFi Router with an ASUS router, I decided to pair up with this and so far it has worked. I called Spectrum and had it going within 30 minutes (20 of which were on hold). It works great, and offers a far more stable signal; however, I was hoping for closer to the 100 Mbps that I pay for as my $200 WiFi router is capable of up to 1 Gbps, and this modem is capable of 686 Mbps. A stable ~ 67 Mbps is fine for my needs, but I was a tiny bit disappointed, hence the 4 stars. I'm not sure if other modems would offer better speeds, and I'm sure it offers closer to 100 when directly plugged in.All that being said, it runs cooler than my Motorola did and so far has been humming away at a solid and consistant pace. If anything changes I'll update my review, but for now I'm pretty darn happy.

This tripled my internet connection speed. I have a 560 Ti video card and was having trouble playing Pubg and such (in fact it would freeze and I wouldnt be able to play at all) So instead of getting a new video card I first checked to see if upgrading my severely outdated and basic modem would help. It did. I can not only run Pubg now ,but it runs smoothly. I cant remember exact Up and down specs but I remember it basically tripled my internet speed. This is also a great family modem as well because I have multiple units running from the router (which I upgraded as well) and everything runs fine. No problems, started right up, performs excellently. 5/5.

Update 8-19-2019 : The modem is still going strong AND Spectrum automatically upgraded our 300 Mbps service to 400 Mbps and even though this modem is not on their approved list, I am now bursting at around 450 Mbps!So far, this modem has performed excellently. We have 100/10 internet and while I was always happy with the performance of their supplied Cable Modem, I could not stand the god awful wireless router that was bundled with it. I have a separate WAP but the router itself would go to pieces when doing any PtP downloading of over about 27 connections or so. It was so bad that you couldn't even access the web ui.I picked up this modem based on the spectrum approved modem list and after a surprisingly short call, the spectrum tech had it activated. He was actually surprised at how fast it took their script and activated.I speed tested it and was getting the same burst rate of about 120 down and 12 up. Now I can connect my $25 ebay refurbished dual core computer running pfSense as a wired router.A little later I contacted Spectrum through chat support to inquire about removing their $5 "Spectrum WIFI" fee and off the cuf asked about upgrading to 300/20 service. I am not bundled and only purchase internet service through Spectrum. He told me that since I provided my own 300Mbps capable modem they had recently done away with the $200 "Upgrade fee" and the 300/20 would only be $20 more a month!I asked him to activate the speed upgrade and instantly saw the cable modem power cycle. After it reset, I speed tested at 350/22 !This modem is awesome.

I recently switched from AT&T Uverse to Spectrum as my ISP. AT&T forces you to rent their modem, but with Spectrum you can provide your own, and with the amount I'm saving over AT&T, it pays for itself in 3 months. I already have an ASUS router and repeater, so I thought an ASUS modem would be a good choice. I was not disappointed. It took the Spectrum tech only minutes to set everything up, and we immediately had internet access through wi-fi on every phone, tablet and computer in the house. It took a while to configure Windows 10 to access the internet when using a wired connection between my laptop and my router. That's because switching to Spectrum gave me different IP addresses and DHCP servers, and making the correct changes in Windows is not intuitive at all. It's not the fault of the modem, so I still gave it 5 stars.

My old modem was limiting my speeds to just over 100 mbps so I got this one for the increased channels/downstream bandwidth. My current downstream is pretty much at the maximum for what my ISP allows (currently around 240mbps).Installation:I had no issues with installation but I also was installing this alongside a new router so I had to do additional configuration regardless. I disconnected my old modem, installed this one with the existing coax cable, and connected to the new router.Use:I've been using it for about 4 months, and I have not touched it since the initial installation.Slightly Less Important ThingsAppearance:I think it looks pretty good. It has a simple rectangular design, and if I had to have it out in the open I probably wouldn't mind displaying it. The attached stand does its job well. If I had to list a con, it would be that the stand is not removable, so you won't be able to easily lay it on its side or mount it to a wall or rack.
