Should have bought one of these be for. The first time I did vegs, I got them way to done. Didn't take long to figure out the times for things. Rice did take about 55 mins. so don't be in a hurry for that. I would by this again.

I have a bamboo and stainless steel type steamers most my life. I use them all the time. Steaming food is great. Since I am working on my muscles, I have to steam a great deal of food from breakfast to some dinner. The light be goes up when you use your stove a great deal, i also know that. This steamer has been a blessing. I am saving on my light bill by not using the stove, even though it is electric. The cord is long enough that it has not been a problem where I set it in the kitchen, I like that. It is easy to use and clean up is basically a hot rinse most the time. I fix my whole meal in this including if i want an egg or several. From meats, veggies, starches. It is fast. Just add a cup of water in the inside center base. add your seasoned food in the tray areas. set timer. go! it does it all for you. I love it. Wish I had it years ago. The only complaint is that they not wrap the steamer at all. they just tossed a shipping label on it. its a thin cardboard to be shipping in. That is why they lost a star. It was pretty banged up by the time it got to me, but all seems to be fine. Outside not them really needing to ship it in a box to protect it more, yes I could easily recommend this product.

We have had a Hamilton beach steamer from the 90’s that always made great rice. So much so I kept buying old ones on eBay every time one broke.I decided a week back when the last one broke that I needed to try a new design and settled on this.The old Hamilton Beach had a rice bowl that could make 3 cups of rice. The Nestor unit comes with just a 2 cup bowl.Stacking the two plastic surrounds with no center allows the old Hamilton beach 3 cup rice bowl to fit with lots of extra room. So the next question was “would the water reservoir hold enough water to run 1 hour, the time to cook 3 cups of brown rice?”Filling the reservoir to the top, we tried it the 3 cup setup out.Success! It worked and there was still a little water left. What is amazing to us is this unit works great and uses about 40% less water than our old one. That translates into less steam in the kitchen.Over 25 years, we’ve gone thru 6 or 7 of the old Hamilton beach units. Hoping this design holds up better than that one did.Sorry to be so single purpose in my review but we bought it exclusively to make rice the way we have done for 25 years and it delivered and it is easy to clean up when done.

I looove this steamer and definitely the price...!!I needed it for my hot dog buns.... I placed a few buns in the top steamer first and it took a lil too long for the steam to reach the buns...(my hot dogs were already done waiting separately) so I placed them in the bottom steamer and in less than a minute they were ready... not only were they perfectly warm....but also sooo soft and the buns did NOT get hard at all.....!! I heated (and ate) three hot dogs and all three rolls stayed super soft and warm...I highly recommend this..... I can't wait to try a turkey and cheese sandwich next...!!

This steamer/cooker steam cooks every type of rice I use to perfection ; it’s simple to use, set up and clean up after use. No more crusty or scorched rice like the more expensive other rice cookers I’ve bought and tried in the past ! It has the capacity to steam veggies , etcetera in a separate dish along with the rice so that a full meal cooks at the same time. I mainly use this just for making rice, primarily, and I recommend it to anyone who likes rice cooked right 👌

I love this steamer for a number of reasons, with the removable bottom so steaming corn on the cob is great. you can steam eggs. it is easy to clean.

We use this steamer several times a week, mostly for steaming vegetables. It works great. We had their older version for years but this one is actually better quality than their older one.

I bought this item to replace a Black & Decker HS-80 because the plastic lid developed cracks. The steamer still works great. I bought it in 1976! That’s 45 years ago!!!. It still works. I read reviews and people are happy if they get a couple of years out of a steamer. If you can afford it, buy a B&D HS model. Now to the Nesco ST-25F. NOT BUILT TO LAST. After about 40 uses, it started to whistle, stop whistling, and leaked all the water onto the countertop. Thankful I was nearby. Imagine the consequences of running dry for 30-40 minutes. $20 bucks. Caveat Emptor!

I ordered it for sanitizing baby bottles, works with tall bottle and takes up to 6 bottles per round. It takes a very small footprint and easy to setup. Heating was not that fast - it heats up the entire puddle of water until they boil to generate steam. But for me I just turn on the timer and walk away, so that is not a big deal. It was on back order so I waited 3 weeks before I got it.

Worked for one day!!...had to buy a UK adaptor for it as it had a US plug..and although I was able to return it I had to pay for postage so for one days use it actually cost me £10 for the privilege!.. so no I can't possibly recommend it
