Didn't know I needed this until I got it! I thought it would be overkill for just an iPhone video setup, but it's perfect for rigging up all your gear and keeping audio gear off the ground. Also the built-in Arca Swiss base makes it easy for taking my setup on the go. I love it.

I’ve been using the NEEWER Universal Camera Cage and Top Handle kit with my Canon R3, and it’s been an absolute game-changer, especially for documenting my dogs. This rig is exactly what I needed to take my footage to the next level.First off, the build quality is fantastic. It’s solid and sturdy, and once everything is locked in, nothing budges. The R3 fits perfectly in the cage, and there’s plenty of room for accessories. I’ve mounted an external mic and a light without any issues, and the setup still feels balanced and secure. What I really love is how much this rig improves my ability to get creative with shots. It’s perfect for getting down to my dogs’ level, which makes the footage feel so much more natural and cinematic. The top handle is a lifesaver for low-angle shots, and the stability it provides is amazing. I can tell in the footage that there’s way less shake, which makes everything look so much smoother and professional. The ARRI locating pins and multiple mounting points are super useful, too. They make it easy to customize the rig for different setups, and everything feels thoughtfully designed for real-world use. It’s versatile enough that I can use it for documenting my dogs as well as other projects without skipping a beat.If you’re looking for a sturdy, well-made camera cage and handle that performs perfectly, I can’t recommend this one enough. Whether you’re filming pets, events, or anything else, this rig will help you get better shots with less hassle. Highly recommend!

Solid mount, forms the foundation of a cinema rig build I put together for my Sony camera. Stable when using for moving/walking shots when vlogging and creating training videos. Have a handle, battery mount and extra hot shoe mount on it, all together makes a cinema rig chassis.

I use this camera cage with my Fuji XT3 and Battery Grip. Fits nicely, plenty of room to spare. Lots of options to add other components to my kit. Build quality is solid and sturdy with good weight. Wish the screw for the camera plate was easier to access and turn.

I am so happy that this Neewer universal video camera cage exists because there isn't one made for my older Sony AX-53 camcorder. Attaching external lights, microphones, and monitors was not possible until I put the camcorder onto this rig.The construction is top-notch, with a somewhat hefty 818g aluminum alloy metal frame and comfortable silicone coated hand grips. Max weight of 15kg can be supported on the rig.The versatility of mounting options is excellent with two cold-shoe mounts on top left/right of the crossbar and many 3/8" and some 1/4" threaded holes. The Arca type base gives the option of quick release of your camera from the rig. Alternatively, you can attach the cage baseplate to an Arca type tripod head. This universal cage from Neewer makes it possible for anyone to create a run-and-gun setup for even older video camcorders. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a universal cage.

First I want to point out it's designed to be used as an assembly and is really versatile that way. My Smallrig-encaged mirrorless Sony fits fully inside so I don't have to rebuild the entire set up to switch that camera to a lighter occasion. The size is not really a limitation (the grips and bars can be disassembled and used), and rigidity is hugely important. The "versatility" that I would gain from piecing this together as in other modular options would only pay off with needing constant tightening.. and a pile of extra, unnecessary parts as your assembly grows and matures as the early pieces don't support the features you need. At least this remains a handy tool and pair of handles at worst. It's versatile enough that you can mount rails on the bottom for a tripod setup and on the top to connect a shoulder mount. It's pretty easy to run it with the viewfinder right where you want for video. It's extremely sturdy for being so lightweight. If you have or plan to get a lot of accessories and don't already have a lot of kit, you may want a couple of small cheese plates for your magic arms and cold shoes - maybe a large one for the base if you're loading up matte boxes and follow focus for stability.I use a rail assembly at the tripod mount level and lock the Neewer in with the built-in ARCA-style slide-in dovetails on the base (more versatility for positioning with a long base). It really comes alive as an assembly with a top-handle - plan for that.
