This is a pretty good for making videos! A cold shoe really should have been on this device. The only other thing is when putting on the bottom rods/part, you need to put the alan wrench THROUGH the holes above on that same part to be able to turn the alan wrench screws below, to tighten the screws. The part gets in the way and the angle doesn't allow for tightening so come at it from above and go through the holes to tighten below. You'll get it when you get the handle. I am happy so far but a cold shoe really should be somewhere on this in my opinion.

Easy to assemble, easy to break down and pack. Holds camera securely, works as advertised. Not a premium alternative, but good value for the money.

I have a DIY youtube channel (Trial n' ERROR) and needed a solid framework to mount my ever growing pile of equipment that makes up my camera rig. This setup gives you a lot for the money and is very sturdy. I have a good 10lbs of equipment mounted to it and it's very secure. Nice powdercoat finish on the metal. The side grips are plastic and could be better but the top handle is rubber coated aluminum. Overall very pleased.

This cage is okay for what I need it for. I intended on mounting a 7' Viltrox monitor, a shotgun mic and a small LED dimmable light. I bought two Small Rig cold shoes to go with the ones I already have so I could mount these items to the cage. I managed to get everything but the light on there before running out of space. It's too bad they didn't design some holes down the sides to accept cold shoes. I know another similar model Neewer sells has them on the sides but you sacrifice the hand grips. At least I was able to get my Canon 80D with the battery grip on there with just enough space left at the top of the camera before it touched the cage. The machined metal is thick and sturdy but now that I own it I think I paid too much. Not as much as other types of cages go for so I guess it'll do for now. I plan on switching out the 80D with the Canon SL3 since it's a smaller, lighter camera body, no battery grip and records in 4K. Mine came practically assembled and one of the clamps that secures the two rods at the bottom was put on backwards so it wouldn't tighten and hit the frame of the cage. I really hate getting the feeling that I got someone else's return but it looks and works fine otherwise. I like how the cage can be held on both sides for eye level shooting or from the top handle for the low shots. The top handle can also be mounted facing forward or backward depending on your preference.

Works very well for my Canon EOS 5D Mark III, not so for my Sony HDR CX900 but I have another cage for it. I was hoping to be able to use this cage for both but it is designed only for DSLRs. That being said, it is very comfortable to hold, grips are very nice. Mounting your camera to it is very easy and easily removable. The top grip and the bars attached to the bottom make a nice safe cage for my camera when using a smaller lens. I take the time to remove the bars and top grip when I'm finished using it because it takes up a lot of space when its assembled but it doesn't take longer than a minute to assemble it with the 4 bolts once you've done it a few times.
