This Metal Telescope phone mount is perfect for catching pictures on my phone (google pixel 7) through my binoculars (Pentax 8 x 40).It is solid metal construction with padding to protect both the phone and the eyepiece of your optical viewing device. The strong spring loaded clamp that holds the phone feels very secure even with the silicone phone case on. The chunky straight wing nut allows firm fixing of the phone clamp to the optical device clamp (main frame). This is a screw thread giving free adjustment allowing for multiple positioning though this does make it a little time consuming setting it up, but once set I found it did not move.A bonus I discovered is that the phone clamp also has a threaded hole (camera screw thread) at one end allowing it to be screwed onto a tripod directly! The optical device clamp (main frame) has a knurled thumb screw head, again free adjustment that is firm and solid. I like the way it can be broken down and stored in it's box.Things to note...There is no capacity to change the eye relief. The phone is mounted directly to the end of eye piece of the optical device. This would be no good for a rifle scope with an extended eye relief. At 1x zoom on my phone camera I got the whole circular image of the binocular view but at 2x zoom I got a full image of the centre of the binocular view. (see pics.) My binoculars were mounted on my tripod as binoculars with a phone attached are a little unwieldy. I found it easier to mount in portrait orientation but with careful repositioning of my tripod and adjustment of the phone mount I was also able to get landscape orientation. This was due to using binoculars, I would imagine on a telescope it would not be an issue. It's strong and well made from good materials that I can see I'll be using for years to come.

The screw used to tighten the device to the eyepiece wants to dig into the actual piece that it’s pushing down.

This is well-designed for attaching a smart phone to a telescope. However, most phones have multiple lenses, and you must pick one to line up with the telescope eyepiece. I found an app for my phone that let me select which lens to use, along with control of exposure settings.

C'est peut-être deux fois plus cher que le prix moyen, mais la qualité est au rendez-vous. Solide, bien construit et fait pour durer longtemps, longtemps... Pas sûr que le télescope va lui survivre...

I just received today. I was a little concerned with the reviews mostly coming from free product promotion but decided to give it a try. I used an old iPhone and an iPhone 11 both worked fine. I have it attached to binoculars. It is very sturdy and well-made. Time will tell if the phone holder wears out or gets loose, but I am very happy with my purchase. I paid full price and was not part of any promotion.

Caveat - I've only had this in my hands for about 2-hours or so, but it does work mostly as advertised. My complaints are as follows:1. Lack of washer included, because eventually the screw is going to dig into the aluminium body of the product. There's about 1-2mm of extra space on each side of the screw in the groove it fits into that could have really used that washer. So I'll grab a stainless steel washer for it.2. Adjustment can be a little finicky, and the screw & clamp could have been a little more robust, I see it as the failure point in the future. They should have used a thread that was about 20-30% thicker, and also the same for the V- clamp bar.So, I'll give this 4/5 stars for being the best of the universal scope clamps for cellphone.

The piece is solid and well built. It is lightweight but a bit bulky for use with binoculars. This mount only connects to one of the two eyepieces. It clamps down nicely but it will spin or twist if you have the diopter adjustment with any slack. Here is the deal with the mount. It is not easy to get the right depth on the eyepiece so that you get a clear line of sight through the optics taking up all available viewing space. I also found that if you can zoom your phone camera to “1” or even “2” on the adjustment it sees through the lens much better and you will have a much clearer view. So if you purchase this mount and don’t mind 15 minutes of fine tuning it to your desired instrument whether that be a monicle or binocular or spotting scope or telescope it will do the job. I think the best way to use this mount is to mount it to a stationary device as it is pretty difficult to use it connected to binoculars that you are holding and trying to keep it aligned while trying to see what is in front of you. I’m still learning about the best way of mounting the device to various optics. I’ll keep it but if you can find a mount that lets you adjust the spacing to your liking phone to your lenses then I would recommend investing in that as this can get a bit unruly for repetitive use. This mount with the use of a tripod for your magnifying device is really going to be the best option for using this particular mount.

Not sure if it's the spring-loaded phone clamp, but it isn't the most stable on my telescope. I'm usually readjusting the phone trying to get a good image. But it does work, and the price is decent.

This NEEWER Telescope Phone Mount is extremely well made, with the majority of parts being machined aluminum that fit with great precision. The phone clamping area and scope eyepiece clamp both have rubber pads attached to protect your phone and scope - and help hold the mount and your phone securely. The mount attaches to the scope by clamping the scope eyepiece in the thumbscrew v-clamp. The phone is secured to the mount with a spring-loaded clamp that holds the phone very secure. This mount bracket has a cold shoe mount on one end, and a 1/4" threaded hole on the other end, allowing it to be secured to tripods, monopods, or other devices. Clever! The phone bracket and scope mount are both slotted and are attached with a single captive bolt and aluminum t-handle nut (which is much more robust than a plastic thumb screw would have been) - which affords a very wide range of adjustability. We tried a couple different iPhones mounted on our spotting scope, our telescope, and a pair of binoculars. The trick to this mount is to attach it to your scope, then put your phone in the cradle; turn on your phone's camera, then adjust the phone position so the camera lens is directly over the center of the scope eyepiece, and then tighten the t-handle.Note: Having the rubber part of the scope eyepiece sit tight against the phone helps keep peripheral light bleed away from the camera lens. It's also best to take off your phone case (if you use one), so you can get the protruding camera lens as close to the scope eyepiece as possible - this helps prevent image distortion. This alignment process takes a bit of tinkering - but once you have it set, the connection stays pretty rock solid - especially on non-focusing eyepieces like our telescope and spotting scope. It was a bit trickier to mount and adjust properly on our binoculars, but it worked okay in the end. Obviously, all phones and scopes are different, so your results may vary from ours. With this simple but sturdy mount, we've been able to take better night photos of the moon and other planets (such as these photos of Jupiter and its moons, and Saturn and its rings). with our telescope much easier!I definitely recommend this quality mount!
