ULANZI has made a name for itself as a "budget" brand where you can expect decent quality at an affordable price. This magnetic mount is a good example of that.Pros 👍👍👍- 2-in-1: You get the convenience of a magnetic grip with the option for a secure mechanical grip when needed. The magnet holds up well. - Flexible: The disc rotates around its axis at 1/4 clicks, which may come in handy. You can also bend it forward and back 180 degrees, which makes it easier to shoot top-down videos. - Build: Overall, this mount feels beefy and tight!- Padded: All points where it comes in contact with your phone are rubberized. - It comes with a metal ring for older phones that don't support MagSafe. - Value: At $20 MSRP, this is a good buy for the money. Cons 👎👎👎 - The 2 little arms that hold your phone look like they're not going to hold up! They feel like a failure point waiting to happen!- No other attachment points for any other accessories, e.g., an LED light or a shotgun mic, which limits its utility. The Bottom Line 🧐► This is a clever, compact, and well-executed design. If you're looking for a phone mount to use indoors and out, on a budget, this is a very good option.► If you have more room in your budget, look up the JOBY GripTight Mount for MagSafe. This magnetic mount for phones that use Apple’s MagSafe attachment system is incredibly convenient. I use it with an Apple iPhone 12 mini and a Samsung Galaxy S21 using the included adhesive ring. The ring can be stuck to any phone or case, making any device instantly compatible with this mount. It allows the phone to be rotated in any orientation. The mounting area does not interfere with either phone’s camera. The magnets are incredibly strong and even fairly violent shaking does not unseat the phone. I am using the mount on a magnetic Goby tripod that we stick to the underside of a vent at church, making our hybrid setup so much more convenient and out of the way than it used to be.

I bought this to hold my iPhone when I video my golf swing on the driving range. It screws into a pole that I can insert into the ground.This product secures my iPhone perfectly and is so much more convenient that devices that hold the iPhone with mechanical mechanisms.

The mount itself does exactly what I wanted it to do, but I’ve had it about 6 weeks now and the ring that was attached started sliding around and has now peeled off and has left a sticky residue behind.***UPDATE***I’ve update my 3 stars to 5. Would like to praise the customer service of the company. They saw my above review and reached out to send me a replacement. I cannot say if the replacement will have the same problem - but so far so good! And they were very helpful and fast to help me.

Great product. Bought it after trying another similar product which could not hold my phone at all. This one works great, holds my iPhone 14 Pro Max with case very securely. I tried this one out after getting another mount that utterly failed to even hold my phone on for 1 second. This one grips very well, never concern for dropping, yet easy to remove phone when done. I love this mount and am buying a second one for my office.

This would easily be 5 stars, if only it angled in both directions. It only angles 1 direction and is therefore not very versatile. It’s built well and everything else about it is good.
