This 2-in-1 Multi-Use Phone Clamp and SSD Holder Bracket is unique accessory to have in your gear bag. It is made of a solid plastic and is lightweight, and stores easily in a bag.There are three parts:Phone Clamp:1. Clamp stretches 2.17in to 3.74in which fits my iPhone 8 Plus with large Otterbox case.2. Anti slip Silicon pads on sides and back to protect phone and hold it in place on the clamp3. Cold shoe mount on top for external microphones, lights or other compatible accessoriesSSD Holder:1. This going to be useful for users with a newer modern phone that has USB-C port and software to directly record video to an external USB-C SSD, saving space on the phone. Ideal for vloggers with the right equipment and know how.2. The SSD holding bracket is held in place with 2 screws and the package provides 2 different screw lengths for different thicknesses of external SSD models. SSD max width of 2.36in and a thickness of .24in to .67in. See details on Amazon listing for comptable models.3. Too bad this isn’t adjustable like the phone clamp, as it would provide more SSD models and could have been used to hold a portable USB power bank to power a phone. My 2 external SSD’s are about 1/2in too wide, so I can’t use this option unless I upgrade my SSD.Tripod Mount:1. Standard tripod 1/4in mount for use with a tripod2. A cold shoe mount for use on a camera3. 360 degree pivoting head that also tilts 180 degrees, providing various angle and Portrait, Landscape and Overhead shots4. This mount is removable and can be used with GoPro type Action Camera accessoriesOverall, a very nice and versatile Phone Clamp, that I will put to good use in my gear bag.

This is a good tripod phone clamp, for selfies or control of shot motion stability or even for video conferencing. I use it for video conferencing where I have to stream from two angles / same locale, to show some live action events.It is easy enough to set-up on tripod for phone, but landscape to portrait takes a few motions. Works well for my iphone with remote shutter.Recommended.

Pros:- Good quality- Sturdy plastic material- Metal SSD holder bracket screws- Smooth rubber cushioning- Cold shoe for small LED light- Easy to tighten thumb screws- Well-balanced in landscape modeCons:- Feels off balance in portrait modeThe JJC 2-in-1 Multi-Use Phone Clamp SSD Holder Bracket is of very decent build quality even though it is made mostly of sturdy plastic material. However, the SSD holder bracket screws are made of metal. You feel a sense of quality when you hold it in your hand because of the weight and smoothness of the assembly.The phone accessory under review is basically a typical phone clamp with an SSD holder at the back. The SSD holder will stay around the middle of the phone when you stretch the phone clamp to any position. This feature is quite well thought out. In addition, I like the cold shoe on top of the phone clamp which can hold a small LED light. This accessory is perfect for shooting in landscape mode but it feels a little off balance when you are shooting in portrait mode. Both the phone clamp and the SSD holder are cushioned by smooth rubber. This is great. The thumb screws of the SSD bracket are easy to tighten.Overall, this is a quality phone accessory if you need to use an SSD with the phone. I like it.

Purpose: To use in video conferencing with a camera’s tripod.Mounting:* Landscape Orientation: The mount fastens well to the tripod using the 1/4-20 screw and does not interfere with access to the tripod’s adjustments.* Portrait Orientation: The phone needs to be slid down so the mount’s clamp is at the bottom of the phone to allow free access to the tripod’s adjustments.Phone Compatibility: The spring clip holds the Mortella Moto 5G Styles phone with a case securely.Care is needed to avoid pressing side buttons with the clamp.SSD Holder: Firmly holds either of the SSDs you have.Lack of instructions for using the SSD for video storage makes this feature useless for you.Overall Usage: I plan to use this as your primary cell phone holder when mounted to a tripod.Pros:* Secure mounting with 1/4-20 screw.* No interference with tripod adjustments in landscape mode.* Spring clip holds phone securely with a case.Cons:* In portrait mode requires adjustment, of phone position, to avoid interference.* Potential for side buttons to be pressed by the clamp.Final Thoughts:This mount seems to be a solid choice for video conferencing, especially in landscape mode. The secure hold and compatibility with your phone are definite pluses. However, the need for adjustment in portrait mode and the unclear SSD holder feature are areas for improvement.
