Used it to center my camcorder by sort of moving the hole further back. Works well. The extra cold shoe is a huge plus.

This compact cheese plate converts a single screw hole into multiple mounting ports. It's quite small so if your gear is too large, it may not fit within this cheese plate. This seems to have been made with a field monitor in mind, as the locking pins help prevent unwanted rotation and also allow other items to be mounted.

This little Neewer cheese plate is very well made and sturdy. The smaller size is super handy and the attachment points are versatile. A nice addition to my gear.

When I saw this plate I thought it would be perfect to mount on my gimble head. I can mount my cell phone and/or my monitor to the plate easily while I am using my camera. It is made very well out of machined aluminum. The cold shoe bracket is great for an additional area of mounting.I am very pleased with my purchase & the quality!

I like to put a mini-tripod underneath the camera to hold it, but when the lens is heavy, it is hard to hold because it becomes front-heavy. So, I need a small plate to move the mini tripod forward to reach the camera weight center. However, all the existing cheese plates are large and heavy, too long, too wide, and too thick. I made one by myself. It worked but did not look good. This multipurpose cheese plate is almost custom-made for me. Now, my Panasonic G9ii with Olympus 12-40/2.8 is very easy to hold, as the mini tripod is located at the weight center underneath the lens. Its camera hole is recessed, so the top of the plate is flat when a mini tripod is not attached. Thus, the camera can sit on a table well. In addition, it adds a cold shoe mount to the plate. There are many holes to choose from the plate, so I can pick the right one according to the lens weight. For my needs, a little longer plate will be better for heavier lenses, such as Olympus 12-100/4.No one has thought of a smaller multipurpose cheese plate before. Neewer did a good job.

I am always in need of cheese plates of all kinds – small ones, bigger ones, 90 degree ones, and so on. So I got this one to add to my arsenal of cheese plates and I am very happy I did. It is a small one. Nothing fancy, comes with a 3/8" hole and a few 1/4" holes, plus a cold shoe. But there are a few things that I like:* The cold shoe location is cleverly designed to be right where the cheese plate is mounted to the tripod/camera or whatever you mount it on. So the shoe is mostly just reusing that space.* The mounting has locating pins to avoid twisting. Nicely done.* The 3/8" hole also has locating pin holes. That's also great because if you are mounting a monitor or any arm to which you are attaching heavier things, it works great.* It is light. The machining looks good. the threads seem to be of good quality. The one suggestion I have for the manufacturer is to move the 3/8" hole to the far side because once I mount my Rode Wireless Go II receiver on the cold shoe, it partially blocks the 3/8" hole. So I am left with a whole bunch of 1/4" holes and no 3/8". If the 3/8" hole position is swapped with one of the 1/4" holes towards the end of the plate, then I would have been able to use both the 3/8" hole and one or two 1/4" holes. Anyway... just a nitpick for an otherwise well thought out and manufactured product. Finally, I think the list price is a bit high for the product. I see that there is a 20% off coupon right now. I think with that discount, it is a fair price.

I continue to be impressed with Neewer's offerings. When it comes to the various mounts, adapters and accessories available for photography/videography etc... each of the commonly available companies has a few unique adapters that only they offer. Here's one from Neewer. In this case, I use this adapter on the left side of my mini-cage for my OM1. There are not many holes on that side and none clustered. I either need to mount an accessory in a vertical screw line on the side, or in one pair of horizontal holes higher up. This little plate gives me just enough to not be too bulky, but at the same time provides a grid of holes. Carefully chosen mounting of this allows me to locate another accessory more up, down, forward, or back than just the cage does and doesn't add too much bulk, weight or width to the overall package.I've found all my Neewer products to be of high quality and good design and this is no exception. The retractable pins are spaced such that if you have two normally spaced 1/4 holes, this item will screw into one, and one of the pins will catch just inside the other to prevent twisting once it's fully tightened.Price-wise I can't say exactly that it's a bargain this time. It seems like a unique configuration so there's no direct comparison. Other companies seem to sell small accessories for a similar price so in this case it's not so much that Neewer will save you money...Choose this if it's configured for what you need; you'll pay an 'acceptable' price, but I think you'll find it to be of high quality as in my experience Neewer has been doing a good job. Best luck.~Cheers!

A simple but amazing product for adding accessories to your tripod. Very easy to use I have added these to several of my tripods to mount batteries and monitors so much easier.
