I have several DMC beechwood scroll frames with webbing that I’ve used regularly for cross stitch. Unfortunately, DMC no longer produces scroll frames; and I wasn't keen on those tape ones. So, when I was on the hunt for a smaller one, I did a lot of research and finally decided to give Arabeska a try. Wow, it definitely didn’t disappoint! It holds the fabric nice and taut, plus it’s super user friendly. I’m really happy with my purchase!

This is a great frame for cross stitch. The fabric is held tightly with an even tension. I haven’t used it for embroidery, but I’m sure it will work just as well. The frame is smooth and very sturdy. It’s also very easy to assemble and I love that it’s adjustable to the size fabric you’re using. Definitely recommend.

Easy to assemble and use. Holds the fabric better than most so you don't need to continuously adjust it. The knobs make it easier to tighten than the wing nuts on some frames and it's sturdier while still relatively lightweight. Looking into getting another one in a smaller size.

The size I purchased was the 9.8" x 12.5". Easy to put together; only had to glance at the instructions. Perfect for a long embroidery project. Holds fabric tight and is easily adjustable.

I bought this to use when cross stitching. It works quite well, but I do wish I bought a slightly larger size. My only real dislike about the product is the clamps that hold your fabric to the frame are a bit tough to put on. Though it's not a deal breaker for me. It also feels well made overall and the sturdiness you'd need is there.

Sad that this is a set size and only fits smaller cross stitch projects. I’m currently working on a larger one and needed a frame. This will not do for the size pattern I’m currently working. So sad. Not sure how easy it is to apply to the correct size fabric but looks easy enough.

Frame is very well made. All surfaces are nicely sanded, so no chance of snagging your yarns

Loved the product - the brown coloured wool is missing but they substituted a pink which does not work.

Very good value for money. Solid and well built. The clips hold the cloth firmly, I am impressed with the item.

I've been cross stitching for over 30 years and over time all the stores I relied upon for my stitchery items have closed. So I ordered this item based on the reviews and am very pleased with it. It is very easy to use and keeps my cloth nice and tight. It is very sturdy and feels like it will last me forever. I would recommend this product highly.

This was my second purchase of a scrolling embroidery frame. The frame is super easy to use and is wide enough to accommodate most projects. The advantage of the scroll frame is it allows you to work across the full width of the project with out putting wrinkles in the fabric as happens with a hoop.Because of the sturdiness of the frame, being made of high quality wood, it is heavy to hold and would be best to use this scrolling from on a stand.Love this product.

Not sure about the negative reviews on this, this frame works amazingly well for larger cross stitch projects and I found it incredibly easy to put together and use. I was making a Christmas stocking for my daughter and was continuously fed up with with round embroidery hoops that popped off constantly. My mother-in-law was working on a cross stitch project on a similar frame to this that she’s had since the 80’s and I immediately wanted to find something similar. When working with a larger Aida fabric size, this frame is great because it keeps the entire piece attached to the frame and you just have to loosen the knobs to move it to the area you’re currently working on (great for Christmas stockings!).The round embroidery hoops would cause the Aida to get distorted (as can be seen somewhat in the photo before I discovered this frame), but because the Aida gets snapped into this frame at the top & bottom, it stays taut and is much easier to stitch. The only slight negatives is that the wooden frame is slightly heavy after sitting and stitching for extended periods of time, and when you don’t have a lot of extra Aida at the top or bottom (like with the Christmas stocking kit, as they provide the bare minimum amount of fabric), it gets a little harder to stitch close to the bars. The frame itself is super sturdy, and while the package was in Russian (!) it was easy and intuitive to figure out how to put it together. I will likely order one for smaller projects as well because this is so much easier and sturdier than the flimsy round embroidery hoops for actually stitching!
