I was disappointed when I received these hoops. In my opinion, they were poorly made and difficult to get the Aida cloth taut between the hoops. Sadly, the workmanship was not up to par. I’m not even going to use them for the piece that I am currently working on. I would not recommend them to anyone at all.

The three hoops are working well. They are strong enough and are well made.

Sherbos look good. No rough edges. For their size no problem with too heavy. I’d try Sherbo products again. If I need over 10” round I’d stick to Maker Susan. If they were out of supply Sherbo would be fine.

These are almost identical to an expensive brand that I can't name here. Smooth beech wood, brass fittings and very sturdy. Love them!

These are attractive. My daughter uses them to frame and hang some of her embroidery work.

I wanted sturdy adjustable hoops and these are that. I am trying to avoid plastic products so they also do that.

I have some other hardwood with heavy brass hardware hoops which I would rate a 10 out of 10 these I would write an eight out of 10. The screw part is very difficult to screw back together with your fingers you need a screwdriver and like most hoops you need to wrap the inside hoop with some sort of fabric strips or ribbon to get really good grip. I tightened the screw as hard as I could with a screwdriver but I still find it slipping more than I would like. These are probably half the price of the ones I purchased that I rated 10 out of 10 so not bad. Way better than the bamboo ones out there.

I’d say these are just ok. One of mine doesn’t tighten and of course it’s the size I want to use. Hard to find good ones though.
