I love these hoops. They put the right amount of tension on the fabric and are so easy to use. They look so pretty as well. Thank you!!

So, I obviously bought these to frame a finished embroidery project and here's what I found. The Good: They held the embroidery very securely. They are a bit tricky to get on because you have to "stretch" them into a plastic groove while maintaining the center of the piece. Once it's in, it stays put.The Bad: Where do I start. #1 - Well they stink! I expected some gassing-off on a rubber product but these are AWFUL! Yes, I put them outside to air out but they still stink. I mean REALLY bad.#2 - They are slightly over 6 inches that your finished piece will show, so you'll want to be aware to check first if you have a circle or edging in your design.#3 - The inner plastic circles are not round, on mine at least. There is a slight oval to them so beware.#4 - I made the mistake of rubbing my eye after framing and it felt like I poured a chemical in my eye with the burn. Guess I didn't let them are out long enough or maybe I should have washed them in vinegar first. The Ugly: They are pretty ugly but I knew what they looked like before buying. Cheap stinky rubber. Oh well.

They worked great for my handmade cross stitch. They are some kind of hard rubber but sturdy.

I am never going back to the ol' screw and nut. This is a life changer for my budding arthritis, no more tender pink thumbs from cranking the smallest screw known to man.I was nervous about what fabrics it could hold, though since the whole thing just fits together so perfectly BUT AS YOU CAN SEE this is around the BOTTOM of a canvas bag including the corner! I'm gobsmacked.Plus, every time I give my sweet father an embroidery piece in the ol' screw and nut, he asks me "how to frame it". Hopefully this cute little thing will stop him from asking me that lol.Do not hesitate, these are friggin' incredible.

These make a nice presentation of your sewing work. They are a little tricky to maneuver when trying to lock the cloth in place but not too difficult. I will say they definitely had a weird, plasticky smell; it does go away though. Recommend airing them all before you need to use them and then it should be fine.

I really like these, I have them in two sizes. They hold your work very well. It is a little difficult to get the rubber ring around the plastic, but it does keep it tight. My cross stitch design was slightly too big and the cloth was cut too short, so it stretched mine in a weird way to make it work. But if the cloth was big enough, it would look fine.

It is important to note that these are for DISPLAY ONLY, and only keep the fabric in place by mild tension (not cinching it down like normal embroidery hoop) thus they can only be used for display and not tension during the embroidery process. They are made out of a sturdy rubber material and look exactly as pictured. I hand embroider my patterns in a 6" simple wooden hoop then transfer to these hoops before finishing the back with a felt cover. It is a mild struggle to keep them centered while placing in the hoop but with a bit of finesse and patience, the result is perfect for display or gift presentation!
