I bought it in June. It worked perfectly until yesterday. I put it on and it died after a few minutes. Very disappointed!

This Review pertains to the NAXA electronics 9 inch portable television. After 3 years the unit is still going strong, I have dropped it, spilled coffee on it let my nieces play wth itAll the channels come in clear and it has caught every station in my area. One of my favorite features is the built in kickstand which makes this tv unlike other portable tvs in this form factor stable on any flat surface. Right now I have it on my desk next to my laptop. It has served me well as a tv during black outs plugged into a powerblock.pros: Its cheap. at 70 dollars for a fulll featured digital television It was already awesome; at $42 it is damn cheapthe reception is awesome once you find a metal object to put under the little antennaIt won't spy on you. With frozen on an sd card and an audiosplitter you can have long quiet car drives.cons: It needs to be plugged in to work

I am returning the second one now, the first one I returned because the battery would not charge, the second one I’m returning tomorrow because the battery will not charge. The tuner and antenna combination are lousy. Pixelates and freezes even with the antenna up 3 feet. I have another television of the same type and has no problems.I am reviewing the 9 inch NT – 90. I am not re-ordering again and will advise anybody else don’t bother with it.

I got this to use as a monitor for video coming from security cameras recording wildlife. It has good inputs for NTSC video, no problem. Because I use it outdoors and sometimes it is difficult to shade the monitor in direct sunlight I was hoping for a very bright image. It is not as bright as i would like but it is better than many car DVR monitors that I have tried. if it was a little brighter I would give it 5 stars for what I use it for. I like the internal battery but you need to be careful when you charge it because the on-off switch governs whether it is really charging or not. The red light comes on, but that just means you are connected to power. Unless the slide switch is set to on you don't get a charged-up battery. Also, if you use the soft on-off button it is in standby, not "off". So the battery will run down. When you are done, always move the slide switch to off. When you are actually charging the battery the red led will go off so you know it is fully charged. I like this as a monitor and will continue to use it.

This is a great portable tv.I would like to comment on the review regarding the instructions glued to the screen. They aren't actually glued, although when trying to pull the blue colored tab in the lower right, it is like an act of Congress to pull this plastic screen protector panel off the screen. I was able to eventually pull it off once that corner started coming loos and it did its job keeping the screen from being scratched before use.As to whether or not the tv will pickup area tv signals for you, do the following:Go to antennaweb.org and input the address where you plan to use the TV. If the map doesn't show the correct location, simply click and drag the "ballon" on the map to the correct location and the web page automatically recalculates the result based on the new location. To use either of the built in antennas, you need the stations in question to have the code Yellow (in some very limited cases dark green stations MIGHT come in as well). Anything other than that will probably require a larger external antenna to pick up the stations and possibly an amplifier if you are more than 25-30 miles from the station. The color appears to be good. The sound is loud enough for me. The bass is not great, but that applies for most tv built in speakers. In order to avoid a streched screen, the Zoom mode should be Standard for a SD channel and Wide for an HD channel. All in all this is a very good smaller tv set. I also like that it has both the AC and DC car charger and an antenna with a magnetic base.I bought this TV mainly to have a watchable TV during a power outage, but might be using it while out and about in the Jackson, MS metro area,I was not compensated in any way for this review. I simply give this review to provide helpful information to those considering a portable tv.
