This food is great for my cats. Their coats are SO much shinier and soft since I've been feeding this food.

I used to buy my 7 year old cat Meow Mix but she would gained a lot of weight. She’s a long haired fat girl and her breed gains weight quickly in the winter and sheds the weight in The summer. Like a fat little bear. Her 13th year old brother dog Duke was switched per the vets instructions to a healthier alternative diet and recommended this brand and so we switched hers as well once we saw how well it did for our dog and his sensitive tummy. We noticed they both immediately loved the small size making it easy to chew. We also noticed their coat was shining more with less shedding and the dogs allergies were improving as he is a pit mix and his allergies just comes with the territory. We also noticed they both had less of a smell in their feces and urine. Can’t thank this brand enough for such great natural ingredients that have helped both the cat and dog and will never switch to any other brand. The price of the amount and quality of food that you get is a plus as it is inexpensive compared to other brands. I’ve tried switching our dog before and he refused to eat for a couple of days and would whine when he ate because he knew the consequences once digested my poor guy, but he took to this brand immediately. It was like he could smell the great ingredients and knew his tummy would handle it well. Completely worth the switch!

My cats like it. After trying different brands with no success- they will eat this one. And it is helping to clear up my cat’s skin rash.

This review is for the green pea and salmon formula.I have a 10-month-old kitten. I just got him last month from a rescue group. I started him out on a different food and he kept scratching the same place under his eye. I've had lots of pets with allergies and food sensitivities in the past (so I know what to look for), and there wasn't anything wrong with his eye, itself, so I suspected a food problem and decided to switch him to something else. His past food was a different brand and was a chicken and rice formula. Not being sure what was causing his issues, I wanted a food with neither chicken nor rice. (In general, I don't think cats should be fed grain anyway, so I was happy to be switching him to something grain free. He was only on the rice food because I got a free bag from the rescue group. I had previously tried to get him to eat wet food and he wouldn't touch it. So kibble it had to be.) It is actually quite difficult to find a dry cat food without any chicken in it, but I came across this.I have past experience with Natural Balance foods for cats with digestive and allergy issues and they've generally been quite positive, so between that experience with the brand and looking at the ingredients list, I went with this and slowly mixed it in to his old food over the course of a week or two.First things first. The cat eats it. He likes it. Sometimes my other cats get to his bowl and they like it too...in fact, they emptied it this morning.Secondly, it is not giving the cat I feed it to any digestive issues. He seems to process it quite well. His fur looks nice, his eyes look nice, and he has a lot of energy. So I feel he is getting appropriate nutrition. He has gained a little weight (0.25 pounds only) but he is not quite through growing yet, so this seems adequate for supporting growth in an older kitten. (The bag claims it is good for all life stages. I haven't had a very young kitten for a long time so I can't speak directly to that.)And, most importantly, now that he has been on this food exclusively for a little while now, he has stopped scratching under his eye and it is healing up.Other items of interest: this has a fishy smell when you open the bag but that dissipates after the bag is open. Also, the bag does not appear to be resealable so you may want a clip or a separate storage container for it. (I have the 5 pound bag. I don't know how the larger bags are but since this trial was a success, I'll go up to a larger bag for next time.)

This food is great for our cat who was having issues with throwing up after eating dry food. We think he is sensitive to some ingredients and we haven't had trouble since starting him on NB pea and duck!

My cat has a sensitive stomach. When I adopted him he was on Royal Canin for cats that were recently neutered. His stool was very runny and he suffered from diarrhea a lot. At first I thought this could have been a residual effect from being dewormed at the shelter. However, after a month I decided it must be the ingredients in the food. I decided switch to him to a grain free food. I chose to order Natural Balance because I live in a rural community that does not have access to pet stores, and so I rely on pet foods available online. This food took about two weeks to arrive to Northern Quebec from BC. I gradually switched my cat over to this new food during the course of two weeks. He did not get sick from the switch, and is thriving on the new food. His coat is shiny and soft, he doesn't shed as much as before, and best of all his stool is solid, has a good shape and doesn't smell as bad (he used to clear out half the house after a bowel movement, now I don't notice until I hear him burying it in the litter box). His tummy probably feels so much better! I will continue to buy this food.

I can't believe I found one food that works for all three of my cats...Our youngest "baby" has suffered with painful bowel problems and we have decided that she's probably allergic to poultry. Thankfully she's adjusted well to this Natural Balance Green Pea & Salmon food. No more kitty suffering makes me a happy lady... And has helped to properly potty-train a little one who no longer associates the litter box with pain.My older kitten with no health problems also loves the food and has maintained a healthy appetite and weight.Incredibly, though, this has turned out to be a perfect food for my 12 year old obese kitty also. She's been on high quality "lite" food nearly her whole life, but she was continuing to gain weight on very small amounts of food and always "starving". Her sister, adopted by a friend, had the same difficulties. They were finally able to begin losing weight on a prescription diabetes food (although they don't have diabetes). But my girl hit a plateau and continued to complain daily that she was *hungry*. With the Green Pea & Salmon food, though, she doesn't complain unless we're late providing her meal (despite being fed a small amount) and is gradually losing weight. Her arthritis seems to have disappeared and she's more playful and happy. The only thing I'd change is that I'd like to be able to buy a bigger bag... Buying only 10 pounds at a time is not as cost effective as I'd like. The food is quite expensive, but worth it for the health of my three girls. I just wish I could get a little price break by buying in a bigger quantity.
