This has helped my overweight Russian Blue to lose almost 5 lbs!! He was 18 lbs, just turned into a senior kitty (11.5yrs old now) and was pretty inactive. After about 2 months of feeding him this food, he started getting more active, having the midnight zoomies again, and even started being a bit mischievous! He started hopping up on counters and exploring high and low whenever he could. It does mean now I can't leave any food behind on my counters.. but that's a small price to pay because he is the SOFTEST kitty ever, super playful and now weighs about 13 lbs after 10 months of this food. (And a small amount of Reveal wet food!!)The high protein in this food has really done wonders for him. He eats between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup a day (he has full access to this food and doesnt overeat on it) and one 11lb bag lasts about 2 months for him. 5 lbs lost in 10 months is admittedly scary- but he's so healthy, active, and has an amazing coat so I really do think the food is working wonders on him. I also adore that they're tiny heart shaped kibbles, it's so cute!

I'm sure this is a good quality healthy food. But none of my four indoor boys will touch it. And they're not typically very picky. So I started putting in the feral bowl. And it's usually gone in the morning. But I just watched one the ferals sniff it and walk away! Now I'm wondering if the possum is getting most of it.The search for a cost effective grain free kibble continues...

I switched my cats to this after 5 years of Iams food. My one car was overweight and the other had digestive issues. I tried putting them in diet and sensitive stomach food for awhile but decided to try grain free and see if it would help both issues. My cats really like the new grain free food. I've noticed they don't even eat it all in one sitting. They would devour the Iams very quickly. And it's much smaller kibble size so my cat with the sensitive stomach doesn't rush through eating it. She doesn't throw up her food anymore after eating. They also seem to be begging less so it must be filling them up. We will see how it goes with weight control but I feel optimistic.

I've done days upon days of research in order to give my cats the best they could possibly have so when I say this is a very good food for such an affordable cost I'm not lying. I fed my cats cooked raw for a year but the time commitment got to be too much for me and after a LOT of researching I settled on TikiCat born carnivore. The only issue with that became the price! I got to looking for comparable alternatives with a high enough protein content and settled on I and Love and You's Naked Essentials. For the price offered I was ecstatic! Great ingredients, (meat "meals" aren't as bad as people make them out to be) a bonus of pro and prebiotics, a nice level of protein for an obligate carnivore, and a small sized kibble for easy eating! The smell isn't overwhelming, even being a fish flavor which is a nice bonus! My cats are more than happy to chow down on this kibble and I'm more than happy to pay the affordable cost for them!

My cat loves this product. She tried a free sample so I got her more. Good nutrition and grain free. She has tried the duck & chicken and the trout versions. She prefers the very small size kibble. Her coat seems very healthy and she seems not to be licking so much and has had less hairballs since eating this product. I have this on subscription.

When we adopted our 4 year old, he came with the name Big Boy from the shelter because of his muscular and overweight size. The big bags of kibble from the store are cost-effective and seem great until you really learn how to read the labels (sawdust Purina Naturals?)Our cats are our family, and as we transition from fast-food and microwave meals so did our cats to I and Love and You chicken kibble. I’m not thrilled with the vegetable additives in it but the cost/ingredients ratio makes this perfect for our cats. This product is the perfect entry level kibble for healthier cats. We’ve been on this kibble for one year now (minus one hiccup we had to revert to a cheaper kibble) and I promise there is a difference in behavior. Transitioning to I and Love and You, we noticed our 4 year old is so much more active, both in playing with us and our 1 year old kitten. Our “Big Boy” is just muscular now (so much so that we want to get his weight-loss checked, just in case) and our kitten is lean as well. Despite that we free-feed, the cats eat less without the carb overload, so the smaller portion lasts as long as the cheap, bigger bags. I definitely recommend!

This cat food was okay. The disadvantage to this food is it’s to small, when my cats eat it, they hardly chew only swallow the small pebbles.. as it’s advertised for adult cats. My cat won’t eat it alone dry, I have to pair it with something like milk/wet food. I have a kitten so I will just give it to her instead
