This food is amazing. We are on our second bag, Nova loves his food and his teeth look amazing. Nova is 10 and has had bad tartar buildup on his top molars, I was very worried. Took him to the vet and they quoted me 2k for a teeth cleaning because the tartar was terrible and they put in a couple extractions, just in case. Well. It's been 2 months of useing this and the tropiclean gel on his molars daily, and the tartar is gone, his teeth look incredible and no evidence of decay. I had his blood work tested a month ago to see if there was any possible infections, but his blood work came back great so I decided to give this food a try before booking his trip to the dentist.I am so glad I did, this food is worth it, along with tropiclean gel.

My 2 cats like this food, but it is so big, that it occasionally gets jammed in the auto feeders. Not really the fault of the cat food, but it is what it is. We will be switching to some smaller-sized kibble like Open Farm, Farmina, or Merrick Purrfect Bistro. There is also something called Whole Paws grain-free cat food that is carried by Whole Foods that we are going to try.

I have a cat who develops plaque readily. Since using this she has been able to go many years without needing a cleaning. Doc told me that this food can't be effective if it can't reach the surface of the teeth. So 1) eating this kept my cat from needing a cleaning for five years when she used to need it annually and 2) its job is to keep the plaque from developing for as long as possible--almost all cats eventually need a scraping unless you're regularly brushing them.N.B.: Fortunately we were able to find a hygienist who does not require anesthesia (for convenience of sonic tools) and saved all the added costs. Vet hygienist just wrapped her in a fuzzy blankie, got in with the people dental tools, and scraped off the plaque. Kitty in and out of there in 20 min. Purring afterward, no trauma. No hours to recover from anesthesia (and signing the form saying I understand she could die from it). Even though she's an older kitty, tech said I could still start brushing her teeth myself if she's wrapped in the blanket. He said just to focus on the molars, start in short attempts, that there's actually plenty of space to get a wee toothbrush inside the cheek. Said that combined with this diet will go a long way.

I bought this when my older, rescue cat was having some dental issues. Antibiotics resolved the inflammation that made it hard for him to eat, but the vet noted a lot of plaque build up. I decided to try this food because I didn't want to go through the expense of having the cat's teeth professionally cleaned or the risk of anesthia. My cat loves the food and by the end of the bag, his teeth appeared significantly cleaner. I decided to continue to use the food, but given the expense, now I mix it, half and half with less expensive kibble.

My cat is not able to have his teeth cleaned because his liver counts were off a little bit. He is 13, and he absolutely adores this food. His breath is already so much better after feeding it for about five days. I had been feeding only canned food, which I feel is healthier for a cat than dry food, because they get most of their moisture from the food they eat. He seems to be drinking quite a bit of water, so I feel OK about feeding this to him currently. I may also intersperse with some canned food meals. It’s really bad when your cat‘s teeth collect tartar like my cat does. My previous cat baby collected no tartar on his teeth, except a little tiny bit toward the gumline. He never had to have his teeth cleaned. But my current cat baby collects tartar like crazy! I am so thankful for this food because now I feel that his teeth and gums are going to be much healthier. Also, I can let him sleep next to me now, without smelling his terrible breath 🫢Update December 10, 2023Success!! I just checked my cats teeth, which he hates and generally will not let me do, I had to put on Medi gloves to do it, but I looked at his molars, and I do not see a trace of accumulated tartar.I am over the moon happy because not only is it saving me about $700 in teeth cleaning, yes, that is what my cat vet charges, and the Discount vet charges about $400 plus the blood work, but I do not have to have my cat anesthetized, which he probably couldn’t do anyway because of his liver counts. This food is really the answer to fresh smelling breath for my cat. When My cat, Pasha, licks my hand, I smell absolutely no bad smells in his saliva, and when he lies next to me in bed at night, there is no bad breath smell. I would say it has taken about six months for his teeth to completely clean up. I think I started feeding him this food in about July 2023. I still feed him premium, canned cat food morning and evening, but he likes to munch on this dry food in between so it cleans the canned cat food from his teeth, as well as the accumulated tartar. I can tell that he feels better too. I believe his stinky mouth was really bothering him. I still don’t know why one of my vets did not recommend this food, especially for a cat who couldn’t be anesthetized to have his teeth cleaned. I may have to mention that at the next vet visit.

I bought this for our older boy Patches. He's 9 1/2 and has issues with his teeth. I was hoping he'd like it. Well I left the bag sitting on the counter for a few minutes, came back and he had ripped the bag open and was eating it directly out of the bag. He loves this food so much and it's like little softer nuggets and not hard on his teeth. I would recommend this 100% to anyone with an older cat with teeth issues. This is the only brand of cat food Iv buy for him now. The price is right and he's eating so much better now.

I bought it because normally cats love the taste of any Hill's product. My cats tried to eat it and couldn't.Even starving street dogs refused to eat it.I think it was stale, expired product that was lying in the Seller's store for many months. There is mot date of import or date of manufacture given anywhere on the packaging.I just lost Rs. 1447 on this.
