It's so unusual today that a product delivers on what it promises but this one does. Affix this to your orbital polisher and you can clay a large SUV in no time flat! The results are as good as I would get by hand, maybe better! Buy this and save yourself a ton of work!!!

I don't actually like using this with my DA polisher. It flings liquid around, and I don't want to risk damaging the paint with debris that gets stuck in it. I don't find it saves a significant amount of time versus doing it by hand anyways. I like the shape and size of these though, I find even by hand I like them better than the sponges.

Wow! I have never clayed a car before, but read how much of a pain it can be. So glad that I will never have to experience that! Nanoskin is incredible. I have never felt a car so smooth as I have now that I've used this product. It is unreal! And super easy to use with a polisher. This pad has loop velcro on one side so it can attach easily to a compatible polisher/waxer.Unfortunately, I did not buy the nanoskin lubricant because it is simply too expensive to buy here in Canada. But as another reviewer suggested, I used car wash soap instead and the results were fantastic. Mix a gallon of car wash soap as you would to wash the car, then pour it into a spray bottle. Spray the section of the vehicle before claying it with the nanoskin and then wipe away the residue with a clean microfibre cloth. Works perfectly!

From what others have mentioned it only takes one maybe two passes to remove contaminants on paint. It took me quite a few more passes to clean. My car is mostly garaged but it's been about a year since the last time I clayed and it was ready for the annual detail. As for how it worked. I will say that clay still works better. After using this and doing multiple passes I found some areas this really struggled to clean. I'll say it got about 90% of what was embedded into the paint. I ended up claying the entire car after just to make sure I got everything. One thing that worried me was whether this would scratch the paint. As far as I can tell, virtually zero scratches or swirls. If there were, it's no more than you would see from claying and should be polishing after anyways. While I wouldn't say this is a complete replacement this would be great for someone that isn't too worried about getting every bit stuck to their car. For me I will be including this in my workflow as a pre-clay step. It definitely made claying much easier and faster.

I have been using clay since the late 90s, generally Mothers, though in the past few years i have also used Meguires to similar result. When it became available quite some time ago I used the pocket pad from Griots for clay and that worked quite well, but required immense amounts of lubricant, to the point where I made my own mix with other products to reduce cost.Clay has always been the way to go to start ones cleaning process. Waxing, polishing, virtually any paint care should start with a good clay. Nano rubbers have been available for a couple of years now and after the recommendation from a friend in the business I decided to take the plunge. It has really been the best thing I have ever done in terms of prep. When lubricated properly ( I use the blue lube at 7:1, I have yet to try nano shock, though I hear good things) and used at a low speed on a decent DA (I use the third gen Griots, but the PC, or Megs is fine too) the results are really quite surprising. Not only is this product VERY fast, it is exceptionally effective when used as intended. It can be used by hand, which if you are unfamiliar with DAs or have never used clay would be recommended, with similar results. The real key here, what makes this so unique, is not just the efficacy, but the speed with which it performs the job. Traditionally, a hand clay on the average sedan, say a Volvo S60, Honda Accord, etc, would take 1-2 hrs depending on how well maintained the car was to begin with. This pad and a good DA will do the same car in 20 minutes, MAYBE 35 minutes tops.So far i have only done my car and my moms Genesis sedan, so I cannot speak to longevity, but I can say hands down, this is the new clay. No argument. It simply is.

I was a bit skeptical in buying this at first, especially when this first came out, but I finally bought one for the PC DA polisher. You have an option of fine or medium grade to choose as well as the pads for the 4"cyclo, 6" da polisher, sponge type or a towel. The fine grade sells for about $45 on Amazon. I've seen a ton of write-up's from Detailers Domain on here, which makes trying this out a bit more comforting. I thought I'd share my impressions to those curious in trying this out.First off, as with using clay, you need to wash the car. Note that I've only gotten a chance to try it on a single panel so far. I literally tried it out as soon as UPS delivered. I haven't had time lately, but I hope to detail the rest of the car this weekend. I used a Porter Cable 7424 DA polisher with an Adam's backing plate. I set the speed to 1 and used Adam's detail spray as a lubricant. Since it was a new pad, I broke the pad in on the glass per Detailers Domain recommendations. I sprayed the panel down with detail spray and got to work. About 4-5 passes with the machine. Wiped off the residue and wow!! I'm thoroughly impressed. The surface passes the plastic bag test perfectly. It really does work as advertised and I'm never going back to clay.Truthfully, it is a bit expensive, but you can also try the sponge version for $12 if you're on the fence. You'll want the one for your DA polisher after trying it though. It will pay off in the long run compared to even the best clay bars out there...and you can rinse it off with water if it gets dirty.Take note that I did see noticeable hazing/marring when using this thing... but I'd say not any more than what would happen with a clay bar. My car being black and Nissan's crappy paint, even the slightest swirls are noticeable in direct sunlight. A quick pass with a Adam's white pad and fine machine polish and the haze/marring caused by the nanoskin autoscub are gone. I believe the marring can also be reduced with less passes as it seems 1-3 light passes with the autoscub is enough to get the job done.Overall, this is a huge time saver and I can't wait to finish the rest of the car. A single panel took less the a minutes to complete and this is definitely worth the price. You can probably "clay" the entire car in less than 20 minutes with this thing. They also recommend using Nanoskin's "Glide" with the autoscub, but I already had a gallon of detail spray in the garage. It might be more economical to buy "Glide" though, since it's a concentrate and a lot cheaper than Adam's detail spray.
