I have purchased several of these in the past and they have worked very well for interior and exterior Christmas lights, backyard fountain, an indoor portable radiator and a basement dehumidifier. I recently had an issue 8 months after the most recent purchase of a 2-pack of MyTouchSmart timers. One of the timers worked well, but I did not check the second timer when the package arrived and it turned out that while it could be programmed, the electrical socket would not turn on. Although the Amazon return window was closed, I called Jasco about their 1 year warranty. Jasco customer support was very responsive and I received a replacement timer in just 48 hours. I would definitely buy from them again.

Amended: This item is going back. Unfortunately I've had it for about a week or so and it already stopped working. I had it outdoors and the temperature did get in the high 30's low 40's and it just stopped working. There is a reset button, but I feel like it would simply fail the next time it gets cold. I honestly don't know if this was only meant to be indoors and I just missed it in the product description or if I got a defective unit but I simply cannot recommend as it doesn't perform well under normal conditions.

I bought these after having trouble with the light sensor type Christmas Lights timers. I have two sets of lights that run off of different outlets. Many times one set would come on and the other wouldn't.I received these the next day after I ordered them and they were easy to setup. The batteries were still charged when I received them and was able to set the current time and schedule the on/off times for the lights. I set them up a little over a week ago and they work great. I would buy them again.Several of the reviews I read said they didn't get the instructions, so I've attached pictures with the instructions.

Many outdoor timers are just terrible. They have a mode button, but no explanation and the display flashes as they roll through different screens. This is how it should be. On and off, time up and down, and time set is all that should be on them.

Initially I bought these to use indoors to mimic someone being home, turning the lights on/off at different times of the day while I was away on an extended vacation. The set up is pretty easy, though the instructions provided could use more details. I ended up looking it up on YouTube for a better visual. I tested it prior to leaving and worked like a charm, and while I was gone, my neighbor (who was also looking after my place) said she kept forgetting I wasn't home because the lights were on; goal achieved. Then I thought, let's try it with the Christmas lights, and while they are all set to go on/off at the same time, they stager, which turned out to be way better.So, keep in mind of you set it, they timing may not stay in sync all the time. Also, once you plug it in, it will begin to work for the next day or the closest time you set it too, i.e. if you plug it at 6am for 7am it will turn on/off at the designated time, but if you plug it in at 8am for 7am, it won't work until the following day, even if you have an off time set. Hope that makes sense.

We purchased this timer to use with outdoor Christmas lights. It works has advertised and is easy to set up. We wound up getting a second one after seeing that the first one worked out.
