Using this to control the water pump on my hydro system. I use to run the pump full time, but I burnt out pumps and it would heat up the water. This is so simple to use. Now my water stays cool, pumps last longer and the plants get watered on a schedule. Should of bought one sooner!

We've been using this cycle timer for over a year at our off grid AirBnB property in northern Ontario. We built it into a weather proof housing that is mounted to the side of the house. Its wired to the filter pump in our wood fired hot tub. We have it turn on for 7 mins every 8 mins during the winter which helps prevent freezing of the plumbing under the tub. We change the duration in the summer months to longer on, longer off. Its been working great all along. We bought a 2nd one to have as a spare.

Here is my situation. I run an air compressor overnight to spray water in CNC machine as it's cutting a long runs. I only need to spray water every so often and this seems to be a super easy way to run my water every 10 minutes for 3 minutes increments. Works perfectly! I've played around with different lengths of time I need to use the water and found the perfect runtime.

2024-02-06Overall a very decent & functional unit at a reasonable, though not excellent, price. I've had it only a few days. I will update this review in coming months & years.My application for this interval timer switch is to run a small 50W table fan + 10W ozone generator for 10 seconds or so every 10 minutes when wildfire smoke degrades indoor air quality severely.The unit is not listed with UL, CE, or any other reglatory agency, judging by the lack of stamps, insignia, etc.I was pleased to see that the relay inside is appropriately over-sized, with a rating of 40A at 250VAC, that allows plenty of comfort zone to run moderate-size loads such as blowers, fans, lights. Also very encouraged to see a suitably beefy-looking R/C snubber circuit on the back (with the relay) to help suppress relay-open arcing & increase relay life.Typical minimum electrical life of the relay contacts is at least 10^5 (100,000) cycles, with a minimum mechanical life of 10^7 (1 million) cycles. Ususally it's the electrical contacts that give out first, at least if there is much current going through them.So, I believe the expected lifetime of this unit will vary greatly, mostly depending on how hard people use it. If you are switching a 1500W heating coil or large fan every 5 minutes, that's 300 cycles a day at high load and the relay might fail in just 4 or 5 weeks.If you're just switching a 25W LED light bulb 4 times a day, the relay might last for decades.Safety notes: there's no fuse in the unit. It is also quite possible that when the relay fails, it will "fail closed," powering the circuit indefinitely (like a light switch turned on,) which could be a serious fire/safety hazard depending on your application.

This is a really good repeat timer and I highly recommend it. I use it to turn a hot water recirculator on for 1 minute and off for 13 minutes since it’s designed for an apartment building and pumps way too much water for our home. I also bought the BN-LINK analog repeat timer, but much prefer this one. I’ll be returning the analog timer and buying a spare digital timer in case this one fails.The analog timer worked OK, but had several problems that were fixed with this one. The analog knobs were too easily moved when installing the timer, whereas the digital setup option is simple and intuitive. Plus the digital readout tells you which is counting down, ON or OFF, and how long before it turns to the other state. The analog timer didn’t have such an indication.I looked at the instructions and decided to try it on my own and that worked. Hit SET once to enter setup mode. Hit SET again to go from HH:MM to MM:SS for the first setting, then hit SET each time you’re happy with the numbers, etc. I have it in series with a Z-Wave switch that is set to turn on at 6:30 AM and off at 11:30 PM. If we want hot water during the night, all I have to do is use TotalConnect 2.0 to turn on the Z-Wave switch, which automatically starts this timer in its 1 minute on mode. It then goes to 12 minutes off. If I want to save energy, I then need to turn it off with the Z-Wave scene turning it back on at 6:30 AM.

This has been an easy to use and very reliable timer 24/7 for over a year. I prefer it to the earlier non digital model I used previously. A good value.

We have in-line hot water circulator at our house. It works great but I can't keep it on more than 5min at a time. Anything longer causes cold-water line to carry hot water as well. So, I had attached it to a manual timer. Before taking a shower, I press the timer button turn it on, 5m minutes later, time is up. This was good. However, the hot-water line gets cold for other times and I again need to activate the timer. This us frustrating to say the least. Then I came across this unit. I set it as 2 minutes on, 15 minutes off. I can see what the timer is doing at any time, day or night. Now we have continuous hot water and cold water stays cold. The timer is easy to set or reset. As the weather conditions change, I can set it to a different on/off combination.It's not cheap but I like it so much that I ordered another one for other uses around the house, expected to be delivered today!

This product works perfect for our needs. Don’t waste your money on the mechanical one. We are returning it because it doesn’t work properly, but this digital one works great

I love the simplicity of this timer. I was looking for something to run a solenoid valve once a day for 4 seconds. This will do that. However, the "off" time for a 24 hour period only allows programming down to the minute. So say if you wanted your item to turn on for 10 seconds once a day you can program the "on" time as 00:10 under the minutes/second area. Then when you move to the "off" time (lower numbers) the hours will be set to 23 but then you are only allowed to set minutes, and seconds will always be 00. So effectively since you cannot set the seconds value the closest you can come for an off time is 23:59:00 (H:M:S). So every day you will loose 50 seconds of time (60 seconds minus your run time value of 10 seconds). So if you plug the timer in at noon the first day the next day the "on" feature will go on at 11:59:10 AM for 10 seconds. Then the next day the timer will turn on at 11:58:20 (H:M:S) for ten seconds. The fourth day the "on" time will be at 11:57:30. And so on. So in one month's time the "on" time will be at 11:35 PM instead of noon assuming no power outage. Which brings up the point put forth in another review. You cannot tell this timer an exact time to turn on. It only starts it's action from the time it get power. So if there is a power outage the "on" time will be reset to the time the power is restored.

I bought it to use it with my soldering iron which reaches a lottemperature (it flies) and I have to unplug it from the power outlet to be able tosolder the electronic components so that they do not get damaged due to the high heatand the high temperature it reaches. With this timer I can make itturn off and on and just keep a good temperature I currently have itworking on the scale of 1 minute ON and 30 sec OFF and it works perfect just likethe soldering iron that heats up just enough for my work. I certainly recommend the productit is solid and very easy to program, the interface is intuitive I could say thatIt is not necessary to read the instructions on how to program it because it is very clearthe buttons are explanatory. Another important thing to say is that it seems to havean internal battery since the programming that I put on it is maintainedeven after disconnecting it from the power which helps a lot too,since you don't have to reprogram it.
