This is super cute. The alphabet mat is good quality and a heavier material and not just paper. My only reason for 4 stars is the choice of a few items. J is a “jigsaw” puzzle piece and kids don’t know the word jigsaw and as a teacher I wish the vowels were short vowels but such a cute mystery box alphabet toy.

My granddaughter was very engaged with this activity and invited other family members to join in on the play. What is great about this activity is 1) having both uppercase and lowercase letters on the mat for children to practice alphabet recognition. 2) being able to use other objects in the box which will keep children motivated to play.I’m hoping the felt opening on the box will remain intact after many uses. Having an opening at the bottom of the box will make storing the objects easy without wearing out the felt opening.

I LOVE this !! I purchased this for my two year old daughter as a Christmas present . It’s a good size . The pieces could be played with separately from the puzzle of coarse .. she knows her abc and can point out each letter as well as the sound each letter makes so this will be great to help with her reading and spelling even more !! Super educational and fun ontop of that !! Definitely worth the price !

Love these for my kindergarten class! Perfect collection and fun “mystery box” as we discover words that begin with our letters. There are a few, like island and jigsaw, that are hard to identify for the letter it was assigned for immediately.

This has been a great game for my students to play! I love that it is having them remember the beginning of words. Great for pre-k and kindergarten ages.
