My youngest was gifted this for Christmas and enjoys it a lot. The animals are cute and the pieces are a nice size for all ages and little hands. Some of the other/older reviews mentioned there being a smell/fragrance on these toys—mine didn’t have any sort of smell or fragrance so I wonder if that has been fixed or changed since then. The pieces do fit together well but do require some force with putting them together and taking them apart. They are a little squeaky sound wise when you pull them apart and put them back together. I think these are good for not only babies but toddlers and young kids too.

Grandson loves them! At 8 months old they go straight in his mouth. They provide a nice smooth nontoxic surface to teethe on and grip with little hands. My older great nephew loves the farm animals and enjoys the pop apart function. I have always appreciyed the quality and attention to detail that Melissa and Doug toys are famous for. They might cost a bit more, but are so worth the extra money! They will last a long time. Your child will not get bored with these cute animals as they get older. I imagine even a 4yr old will like playing with them and creating funny mismatched animals.

Me llegó muy bien empacado. Los animalitos se ven muy bonitos, de buena calidad y excelente tamaño para el agarre de los pequeños. Mi hijo tiene 12 meses y le encantaron. Todavía no puede separarlos pero le encanta que los separemos y los volvamos a poner, en general se me hizo buena compra pero me encantaría que la marca tuviera más variedad de animales disponibles ya que son muy poquitos.

Mi bebé de 18 meses lo amó, la calidad del material es muy buena, textura suave pero firmes. Las figuras se ensamblan(se parten en dos por la mitad) pero ninguna es pequeña como para sufrir atragantamiento. Excelente opción de obsequio

Perfect size for infants and toddlers. This toy is open ended and can be used for farm role play, teaching animal names/sounds and to be creative with the pop blocks features. My daughter loves her farm animals and my only request would be to manufacture with recycled plastics or sustainable/exofriendly materials as I would hate to see these in landfill after many years of play.

Bought these for a friends baby shower, she was having a "farm" theme and I thought these were adorable!! They are perfect for babies who are learning to hold toys and learning coordination. They do come apart (not super easily) but when apart they are still big enough pieces that you don't need to worry about choking hazard ( however like with any toy, keep an eye on your child) They do have quite a plastic smelling scent so I would highly recommend washing with warm soapy water prior to allowing child to play with them. Great for children from ages 6ish months+. Great quality at an affordable price. We have multiple toys, puzzles etc of the Melissa and Doug brand and have yet to be disappointed!

Ok, I love these! I got these for my son to start working on the 3D puzzles concept with him, he's 4, and has a lot going on, so he's older typically then you'd get this toy for, and my use for it is probably not typical.First off, what other reviewers have noted about a fragrance is correct, which is something to be aware of if your child is sensitive to smells. It smells like baby powder, it's got the same scent all of the baby soaps and shampoos and lotions I've ever used have smelled like. Personally, it's not my favorite scent, but amazingly, it's not one my son has ever had a problem with, and he is sensitive to smells. So I am guessing this is a deliberate thing that the manufacturer is doing to appeal to parents shopping for baby items, given the very recognizable smell. We've been playing with this for a few days and it doesn't seem to dissipate, but if the fragrance bothers you...if you lightly touch it with citrus juice on your hand, it will cancel out the smell, and that cancelling effect does seem to last, at least it has on our rooster, which I did this to and not the others.For me, what I've noticed is that some of the animal halves go together easier than others, the rooster takes the most hand strength to do. And I actually really like that feature, because for my boy- who is actually playing with these already and I totally want to squeal with delight because I've got a stack of Christmas presents for him he still won't touch- anyways, for him because he struggles some with his fine motor, it is nice having the varying degree of difficulty because he needs some that feel easy so he's encouraged to try the one that's more challenging. I don't know if that was an intentional product feature or not, but I really like it. So these are already a big hit in our house, both with him and with me.
