Not thick; doesn't seem like it will last very long. Arrived with a few stains. And since it was rolled and shrink wrapped, it's difficult to take shape--ends still flipped

Cushion on my sofa, 16 years old + full of down feathers, always too saggy, lots of stains and suffering the ravages of time needed replacing. I bought this 6x30x72 high density foam wanting something very supportive/firm. Not disappointed. Was relatively easy to cut down to the size that I needed. Let it open up and expand for a long time before putting into use. Definitely got firmer after three to five days. Has hugely improved the support I feel when seated. No more saggy slouching ergonomic doo doo. Also auditioned it for car camping use, seems quite well suited to that also so might buy another. It's a bit on the pricey side (I paid a $100) but for revitalizing a home furnishing I felt like it was well worth it.

I will update this review after 24-48 hours. So far it is about 1-2" thick right now and hopefully will regain it's shape. I have purchased a few foams in the past that were vacuum sealed and require up to 48 hours to regain full shape, but this product said nothing about that in the description or unpacking instructions. The unpacking video makes it seem like the foam resets in a matter of minutes, but mine is very compressed. The dimensions are 25 x 65 inches, NOT 72. If this does not resolve within 48 hours, I will contact support and update my review.Definitely measure as soon as you receive and unpack item.Update:About a week after I received and unpacked it, it was almost completely expanded. All except one side about an inch into the foam, which still has yet to expand. So I have cut around that piece and don't intend to use it. It got to 70" in length, not 72", so if you really need it to be that size, I would recommend something else. This foam feels very firm. I am making rocking chair cushions with it, but it is a little firm for a back cushion, but the bottom cushion is good.

Item arrived as scheduled and well packed in a factory sealed box .... I waited 48 hours to allow the sheet to fully expand before cutting it to the length I needed for a full length couch seat .... it disappoints, somewhat, on the firmness it provides, allowing for a bit too much compression for my liking : consequently, high use capability is suspect but time will tell on this matter .... I would not recommend this product for what would be considered 'high traffic' use - otherwise, it will probably serve most any need successfully.

This was bought because it was the exact size I needed and didn't need to be cut. The foam is firm but good quality and provides good support as a second mattress on a thin cabin bed.

To make a cushioned seat for blanket box. It was quite scruffy and very discoloured along edges.

After fighting chimney swifts getting around the closed damper and coming into the house in the months when our large, old-fashioned fireplace was not in use, I decided to add a "plug" made of rigid foam to block entry into the living room. The first foam I tried was too thin and too light, so every little breeze popped it open far enough for birds to emerge. I searched for months, but all the thicker foam blocks I found in local craft or hardware stores were the wrong size (too short, too narrow) or else were far too expensize for the purpose. At last, I found this, and it turned out to be perfect for my project! I was surprised that it came rolled up, and worried that it would have a curl when upholstered, but laying it flat overnight fixed the curve, and it is now in place and looking wonderful! The charcoal-gray upholstery has a subtle pattern that makes it vanish. Only if you know it is in place behind the fire-screen can you tell it is there! We've been through some windy weather now, and the plug stays firmly in place. I even have plans to use the foam remnant for seat cushions for two computer chairs.

With a sheet of thin plywood underneath the foam, a layer of memory foam above it & the whole thing covered with a waterproof canvas material we were able to make really comfortable cushions to fit a window seat.

It's hard to describe the density of foam, so I was a little wary that this would end up rock hard or way too soft.At first touch, it seemed a bit soft for my needs (sleeping mat), but it's actually perfect for sleeping on. When I sleep on a hard surface, all of my weight ends up on three pressure points: shoulder, hip, knee, so I need something that is soft enough to distribute my weight, but firm enough that it doesn't squish down to the hard floor. This is perfect for that. The only deterrents I can think of are: this is the kind of foam that will get compressed after a few years of regular use, it doesn't roll up super small, and I'm going to put a waterproof cover over it as soon as I can to preserve the foam for as long as possible. But really, these are small details and exactly what I'd expect at this price point.I will likely buy more of these in the future.

I have this sectional sofa which is in great condition otherwise, but the seats were sagging to the point where I was started thinking about getting rid of it. The fact that the sectional is less than a year old was a point of extreme displeasure. Under due stress from my better half, and to save myself some dough, I started thinking about adding some more 'cushion' to the cushions. In comes the foam sheet to the rescue, the one inch is apt for bolstering a sagging cushion and has the correct stiffness. My cushions were the zipper variety, so i could unzip them and insert the foam insert below the existing cushion. That did provide some relief and the couch looks, feels better now.(Hopefully I can get some more mileage from it).A couple of points to note:The foam is present in multiple thickness sizes, but it by itself isn't sufficient for an entire cushion. You probably need a softer layer on top to make it comfortable. The quality of the foam is good and it can be easily carved to shape using a carving knife. The seller was prompt and I had no issues with shipping. Do note that shipping is extra and if you order 2 pieces, the shipping applies on both (I guess it's just a way for the seller to make money on the sale). The shipping cost aside, this is a good purchase.
