Density Explanation

Many mistakenly take high density foams as firmer foams but that is not the case. A foam that is 44 ILD in a medium and high density will feel the same.

Density is the lifespan of the foam, the higher the density the more material is used to make the foam hence making it last longer.

****Disclaimers****

Many advertise their 1.8 density foam as high density which is false advertisement. When looking at foam products you should look at the ILD / Compression Rating ( Firmness and Softness ) of the foam and Density ( Lifespan / Durability ) of the foam.

Got this as a Cushion for a somewhat custom bench/couch. Its very comfy, very firm and thick! Mine was 7in. If any house guest ever gets stuck sleeping on this, they will love it! It came tightly rolled but puffed out instantly( violently, give this some room when you open it!).10 out of 10, will buy another one!

Very happy with this stuff. It brought new life back to a good couch with sagging cushions. Very firm, hope they stay this way for a long time. If not, I'll be back with an updated review.

I got the 3" firm for our 64lb dog's 30x42 crate to place under his dog bed that has no support and his blankets. Insulates him from the floor of our bedroom which gets cold in winter. He is much more comfortable and sleeps soundly now. Cut to length with serrated knife. Very happy with the quality and shipping. Highly recommend.

I bought this to replace worn foam in my sofa set, and it was perfect. The foam is perfect thickness, easy to cut, and has nice firmness, would buy again!

It worked very well for our couch needing new cushions. We ordered the 5" high because that was the original height. It was a standard size of cushion 28x30. You can order the exact size or order a long section like we did and cut it to your size. It can be sawed with a bread knife. We saved $30. by purchasing the long section and still have a small piece for a chair.

I used this upholstery cushion to make two large dog beds, and it turned out amazing! The foam is firm yet comfortable, providing excellent support for my dogs, even for my older one with joint issues. Cutting the foam to size was simple, and it held its shape beautifully. I covered the pieces with durable fabric, and voila—two custom beds for a fraction of the cost of store-bought ones! The quality of this foam is top-notch, and I’m confident these beds will last for years. If you’re looking to save money and create something customized for your pets, this is a fantastic option. Highly recommend!

This is a before and after pic. It is hard to see the subtle differences but it’s the difference between night and day. A couple inches and firmness is the difference between misery and utter comfort. My husband and I called this the couch from hell. It sat too low and too deep. It swallowed us up. I ordered furniture risers for the legs to raise the height at the same time I ordered this awesome foam, but I don’t need the height now. This couch is so friggin comfortable - perfect. I’m glad I didn’t put the couch in the burn pile - though I seriously considered it 😊This was my moms couch. She was so excited to be able to order a custom made couch for the first time in her life, but her excitement turned to bitter disappointment when she sat on it. I wish she was still alive because she would be overjoyed. She ordered this Clayton Marcus, very expensive, custom couch from a furniture store in Big Bear CA. The store obviously ordered it from Clayton Marcus and specified very cheap 4” foam and the back cushions with stuffing (I would have used it in a stuffed animal never in furniture) to make money. The cushions envelopes were made by the manufacturer to accept a 6” firm foam (you can see the fabric is folding on the before picture). It now sits like an expensive, custom made, Clayton Marcus couch should sit. It is more than I hoped for. If you think the foam is too expensive you should definitely reconsider. For less than a $100 I got a $2500 couch!!! I’m still not excited about my moms choice in fabric but it is very good fabric that will last a very long time.

Nice foam, medium rigid, works well as a car camping pad for a side sleeper. Mine is off by about .5in width and short by a touch over 1in in length. Not the end of the world, but I got this size to fit flush so if precision is an issue, order bigger and cut to size I suppose

Couches are expensive and I absolutely love my sectional even though it going on 10 years old and the foam was sagging. So instead of forking over a ton of cash for new cushions to be made I tried my luck on this product. It worked great. Big enough to replace 2 of my 30x25 in cushion. The stiffness was great. It cuts pretty easy with a serrated blade, though a little messy. Get some batting to spay adhesive over the cushion once cut and presto new sofa cushions. Springy and look good as new.

Right off, I want to make it clear that this is a stellar product. The only thing wrong was that it was listed as 72" long, but it's a full 10 inches longer. When they listed it as "Firm," they really meant it. Oh man, this sucker is firm. I am using it as a mattress for my camper van and was determined to have an over-the-top comfy mattress. I wanted this to be perfect (read: cushy/cloudlike) and became blind to the word "FIRM" because of one reviewer who contradicted the others by saying that your body does sink into it. He wasn't lying, but for a sidesleeper like me, the long seconds for the sinking to happen just don't work for me. And you don't sink all that far into it.... and the sinking doesn't feel soft, but more like you've been vacuum formed into foam packaging (lol). The weird part..... and the good news, really, is that I've been waking up without the stiffness I feel when I sleep on a regular mattress with a board under it. I've actually been quite rested each morning. For someone with arthritis who almost always awakes feeling stiff/sore even on a regular mattress/boxsprings, this is pretty remarkable.I bought two of these pieces of foam and because of the firmness/support of just the one (6" thick) piece and because I didn't want to mess with hand-cutting the second piece so it would fit my space, I returned one. Approval for the return was nearly instantaneous. One more thing: the two boxes were strapped together and one of the boxes was damaged from being lifted by these straps. Good news is that the foam wasn't damaged because it's so tightly wrapped. Once the foam is sprung free (stand back!), there is no need to wait for it to inflate. This puppy inflated & became flat and solid all the way aroundOverall, I would definitely buy from this company again-- I will just make sure to believe the description ;)
