Brackets came a day early and look great. Will be adding a cedar handrail to an existing exterior staircase. Held back one star as the proof will be in the install and wear.

These brackets are very sturdy. Welded construction to wall bracket. The decorative cover slides back to access the screw holes. The problem is for the 2 bottom screws the bracket is in the way so you cannot easily get the bottom screws into the wall. The screwdriver shaft hits the edge of the bracket so the screwdriver tip is at an extreme angle to the screw head. The other issue is the decorative bracket has no way to attache to the wall bracket and just hangs loose. It will not stay flat to the wall. I used adhesive a dab of caulk to attach them to the wall and bracket. While attractive, they are not worth the high cost in my opinion.

I attached these to the end of a structure adjacent to the 3 steps of an outdoor deck. Hardware was incomplete. Plastic anchors were provided, but not needed. What was short was the screws. Added 1-1/4” gray PVC for grandchildren hands, with 2 end caps. Substantial and durable outdoor safety.

I got products from a couple sellers. Both good, this one better, so I sent back the other. The size and steel diameter is bigger, the shape of this item is very well done, for sure cut with a laser computer or something similar.

OK, so the good thing is these look good, and hold the handrail solidly. However, a couple of quirks are to be found: the first was that the screws were not accessible with a drill/screwdriver, and had to be done by hand. Not a big deal. The reason for the 3 rating is that the aluminum cap over the screws is just flopping around: there's no way to secure it. I ended up using that sticky putty stuff to keep the cover from dangling there, but it seems like poor design to me.

The bracket itself is okay, but the finish plate (bezel) does not snap on at all. It is loose so that I have to use glue or calk to get it to fit up against the wall and not rattle. The bezel is too big to pinch so that it will grab the screw plate. Poor design on the simplest part of the bracket.
