I bought these for dirt bike riding. I don't like wearing the dirt bike boots so I wear regular boots but I always hit my shins so I bought these to protect my shins. They were a good price and came with elbow pads too. They seem comfortable and bend at the right places.

Please check the product out for defects before you need them. We opened them at the car and found a strap was missing part of the velcro.Liked:1. Needed a cheap set for my kid. These are cheap.Disliked:1. One of the elbow straps was missing the velcro piece. Had to tie it in a knot to fasten it and made already uncomfortable straps super uncomfortable.(first picture)2. They don't articulate well. The pads are a single solid shape with no natural flex. For peddlers this is a must have.(2nd picture)3. The padding is super thin, maybe 2-3mm at best.4. The padding liner is rough. Caused chaffing and red marks on every pressure point.Got similar priced pads for my other kid on Amazon that were much more comfortable and higher quality.

I use the knee pads for me and the elbow pads work the same on my 3 yr olds knees. The elbows are a smaller version of the knees. I put these under my pants so they don’t fall off on me

Light weight armor kept me from taking scrapes and cuts in a bellow 20 mph fall. Only good for 1 or 2 falls so don't expect to be doing repeated knee slides.

These are long pads that protect both your elbow/knee and your forearm as well.The elbow pads have good enough range and fit both my bare arms and a thicker jacket I was wearing for night use. Speaking of night use, black is obviously not the ideal color.They don’t have buckles or Velcro, so it takes a little bit longer slotting the straps.Comfort is standard. Nothing fancy, nothing uncomfortable.Even with relatively stationary leg movements like standing on a moving e-scooter, the knee pads do seem to slide down with use (or perhaps I’m just wearing smooth pants) so periodic re-adjustment is needed.I haven’t crashed yet and don’t intend to, so I cannot speak to their actual effectiveness. That said they will at least be pretty effective against scrapes, and provide a bit of cushion against impact as well.Overall this is a good set to complement a helmet and other safety gear.
