The clean out on my chimney is an odd size. The standard 8x8 doesn't fit, it's too large. I ordered this one when the old one rusted out, a perfect fit! As I was replacing it, I realized the old one is this exact model. I will be ordering another one for the next time my damp cellar accelerates the rusting process.

I bought three of these to replace the current rusted out doors. Measure twice, order once. Fit perfectly and looks nice and actually can be opened and closed (the old rusty once did not move much anymore). Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

Great door. Happy with my purchase. My chimney cleanout was rotted and this fixed that problem easy. I used a construction adhesive to seal it from spiders and such and my basement blocks are not plumb so the adhesive helped keep it in place. The hole for my cleanout was a good bit larger than this cleanout but the large metal flaps in the back of the cleanout help center itand hold it in place. I was going to use portland cement but didnt really need it. Its not going anywhere.

The product was a good way to cover the outside fireplace opening. It was reasonably priced but strong enough to do the job and neat in appearance.

Exactly what I needed. A light weight/duty clean out door. Bent the inside tabs to get a secure fit and it works like a charm. I added a little cement around the edges to make it permanent. Doesn’t require cement, or caulk, but wanted to completely seal it.
