I have both a Sub Series Ray4 and a Sterling Stingray34CA. I purchased the 4ply black pearl pick guard with hopes that it would fit either one of them. It honestly fits the 34CA pretty dang closely, but be prepared to use a tool to shave the top part near the neck in order to line up the screw holes properly. This pick guard does not fit the Ray4. Happy with my purchase! Also cool that they included a guitar pick as a bonus. Will update with pics in the future.

I’ve bought a bunch of cheap Stingray pick guards recently from different sellers. Some are a perfect fit with no modifications needed. These two pickguards needed some modification. I had to use a couple of files to reshape the neck area (and around the truss rod area) of the pickguard. Even after the reshaping, the holes were a very close fit. Not perfect, but close enough. It kind of sucks that you have to do that, but it’s a cheap pickguard. What do you expect? After I took the two plastic films off, and I wiped off all the plastic dust from reshaping the pickguard. The black pickguard had a lot of scratches on it. So, just be warned, it won’t look new for very long at all! The pickguard scratches easily.

The bass came with a perfect fitting white pick guard. The new pearloid doesn’t fit flush at all and only matches one screw hole. One screw hole is even poking out from under it on the outside. This is the bass it was by “designed to fit”. It’s a present for my son’s birthday and I don’t have time to return it. Thankfully I have tools to make new screw holes, but nothing will make it flush. It will never look like it should. Unhappy to say the least.Immediate update: I’m sending this garbage back. I can’t put this on anyone’s instrument and feel ok about it.

I gave this pick guard a 5 star because it's a good quality pick guard at a really good price, I have an old OLP MM2 Stingray copy and it popped right in, I did have to shave the horns by the truss rod adjustment because they were a little to curved in but after that very minor fixing it fit with no problem, my pick up sits a little further back so there's a small gap right by the truss rod adjustment but it doesn't bother me. Another thing that is kind of a plus is since it's a 9 Hole guard (original is 7 hole) all the new screw hole are in a clean spot so I can drill new holes with no problem 👍.

Fitted perfectly as replacement for my old pickguard. Smooth edges and good quality/finish.

First of all, this is a very nice pickguard, no knocks against it at all. It's super solid and finished very well, excellent quality overall. Five stars for the pickguard!Due to the somewhat conflicting comments here about fitment on various basses, I figured I'd just go ahead and spend ten bucks to see if it fit my 2021 Sterling SUB Ray4. I saw another review that showed pictures of a pickguard fitting perfectly on a Mint Green SUB Ray4, which made me hopeful.Sadly, this pickguard does not fit my SUB Ray4. It's the right shape and size, but it appears the pickup on the Ray4 is set into the bass about 3/8" closer to the bridge than the basses this is designed to fit. This has the effect of moving the entire pickguard down by 3/8". Even when I lined up the two pickguards off the bass, I could see that the screw holes didn't all line up. I am puzzled why the pickguard fit that other reviewer's SUB Ray 4. Either his bass or the pickguard is different from mine, obviously! In the attached photos, the black pickguard is stock and the tortoishell is the Musiclily pickguard.Too bad -- the tortoiseshell looks pretty good with the walnut finish!

Definitely great for the price. Fit my 2003 Ernie Ball stingray perfect. It was slightly tight going around the bottom of the neck but it worked out fine and the screw holes all lined up. Took my less than 5 minutes to switch. Only complaint is picture 2, the less than perfect routing. Would buy again.

Lo compré para un musicman sub y quedó perfecto en los tornillos. Solo lime un poco la parte superior del mástil para que embonara pero fue cosa de nada. Él material es bastante bueno.

This is probably about as good as you're going to get for a nine to ten dollar pickguard. The quality seems fine, all of the edges where cleanly cut and it was well protected with two layers of plastic film. It is a little more flexible or flimsy than say a WD or an oem pickguard but once it screwed down you'd never know it. I did need to very slightly trim the guard at the neck pocket. That took about two minutes and then everything including the screw holes lined up fine and the guard laid down nice and flat.I've cut quite a few of my own pickguards over the years but when you can get one this inexpensively I just don't see the point anymore. This same style pickguard runs $30-40 elsewhere and I can tell you from experience there is not enough quality difference to justify that cost difference.
