I was skeptical because the price was so reasonable. When I put it on everything lined up 100%. The color is beautiful and it looks absolutely perfect on my P-Bass.This a USA model with the truss rod adjustment located at the base of the neck and there is a cut out for it. Fits perfect. Be sure to order the correct one. Mexican made do not have the same cut out, it's at the top near the nut so it's not necessary.Love this and couldn't be happier!

So I wanted to change the look to my newer Fender American P bass .I will let my Bass tell you .,.Hi !My name is Paul .When I was introduced into the world , my creator designed me just about perfect .Only one problem :I didn’t like the mint green pickguard .With the black pickup covers .Some of my friends thought I was white .The mint green was like creamy - very light mint .So my new owner told me “ we are giving you a makeover “!!I’m so happy with the results !My owner even changed the color of my pickup covers to white .Note - The white pickup covers will not fit into a Fender Pickguard . I tried . Spent over $40 for that and the white pickup covers were too big . But they fit perfectly in the Musically pickguard.Most important??My new look does not affect my sound .So now - not only do I sound amazing - I look positively stunning !I’m ready for my close-up Mr DeMille .

I wasn't sure this pickguard would fit my Squire Affinity PJ Bass (2023 model); however, it did with some very minor adjustments. Because I had previously replaced the stock pups with Seymour Duncan pups, I had to lightly file about 1/16 of an inch off the opening of one side of the pickguard so it would fit over them. I believe the Seymour Duncan pickups are just a tad longer that the stock so it required this light filing. I used a very small metal file. All of the holes lined up perfectly. Also be aware that the pickguard has the small opening/cut out at the top of the guard for neck adjustment - which is not required for this model Squire. Not really an issue as it looks just fine - just not used.

Quality is fine, the screw holes all matched up, but what's killing it for me is the random cutout at the base of the neck. Why is this here? I have many precision basses, none of which have such a cutout?To be fair, the advertised picture does show this random cutout hole, and I didn't catch it before I ordered. I'll definitely check in the future. As for this one, I probably won't use it.

The neck is too tight - you can stretch it a bit, but even with that, the pickup cut-outs are not sized correctly (too small) and they do not line up with the original. Useless. Maybe mine is made of cheap plastic and it shrunk up during transport... who knows. Don't waste your time on this one.

Not quite a direct fit, I had to trim by the neck heel & widen up the cut out for the pickups, overall it looks good, and it’s good quality material

Installation on a Fender American Performer Precision. Small amount of easy filing required around pickups to ensure screw holes lined up. The three holes for the volume and tone pots were not "forward" enough for the cavity. Last control would not align into guard and cavity. Instead of routing out the bass, I choice to drill another hole in the guard. Now to fill the extra hole (which, I am the only person who will ever notice). The guard added some much needed class to this bass.

I have a 1988 Fender Precision bass that I've had for 31 years. I used to do a lot of traveling with it as well as playing local gigs. Even though there's a lot of body wear on the bass itself, it still plays like a dream. The only downside was that the original pick guard (aka scratch plate) had cracked and broken right where the plug jack is. I'm sure that happened as a result of 31 years of of stepping on the cable and putting tension on the jack which caused the original pick guard to finally break. So, I decided to order a new pick guard and I ordered this one. I must say I'm totally blown away with how nice this is!!! First, it looks awesome! Second, the installation was simple and perfect. All the holes lined up perfectly. The one thing I really like about this scratch plate is that it's actually thicker than the one Fender originally put on the bass. And then, just to be nice they threw in new screws (mine included an extra screw... maybe that was an accident... I don't know) and a pick. The new screws seemed a slight bit bigger than the originals which worked out nice as, over the years of taking the original pick guard off to replace the not so impressive Fender pickups, some of the holes had gotten a little stripped out. If you're looking for a REALLY great replacement pick guard/scratch plate for the money... look no further!!!!

WARNING: If you own Squier Pbass do not buy!. Doesn't fit Squier Affinity PBass. I have the previous version of Squier Affinity Pbass (Not PJ) and It doesn't fit the screw-holes, the pickguard is smaller than the original in the Squier and also the pickups holes are too small. Waste of money...
