The product does not work. I called the customer service number and an answering service answered. The company will not call me back, they only reply by email.I’d return it but I’m past the return window. I’d give it zero stars if I could.

These floating alarms do not work if your pool has a water feature/bubbler/fountain. Most new pools do, so unless you keep them turned off all the time, invest in inside door alarms.

I previously reviewed this system with one sensor, however my pool required two sensors due to its size and I ended up with the two sensor system. I found it easy to set up and operate. I have inadvertently tested it several times when I got in the pool myself without putting the system into Swim Mode, so I know it will sound the alarm in the pool, in the house and on my phone each time it detects me in the pool. While it is not inexpensive, the peace of mind is worth every penny. Equally worth the cost is the tech support I have received when I have needed it. They were quick and responsive each time I contacted them.I HIGHLY recommend this product!

Imagine spending $600 on a pool safety alarm and it turns out the technical support phone number they provide is just an answering service. By design they don't even call you back. You call this number, talk to someone who knows nothing about the product, and then LifeBuoy gives itself 1-2 business days to email you back. Say what?!? What a terrible customer experience for a product this expensive. The instructions that come with the unit are laughably incomplete. If you buy this also buy some hearing protection and just starting playing with it until you think you have it figured out (it's the only way I've been able to figure anything out).

This buoy, or set of buoys is great for monitoring a pool or spa. We added one to our swim spa and it really is a clever monitor for safety. Just be sure to set it up and test it outside. It is really loud and you will likely need to set the sensitivity down a notch or two. Our spa has little ripples when the pump cycles to poll the water temperature and that was setting it off. A little adjustment on the settings and all good.

We tested this in my mom's pool and found it did send alerts correctly. Husband had some minor issues in getting this set up correctly, but it seems to be working as described.

This by no means is an inexpensive system for your pool. However, what price can you put on the safety of little ones or pets around your pool. This system could literally save a life. The setup was not that hard to figure out. When the alarm does go off, it is actually quite loud and it also notifies you via their app. I have not played around with connecting it to Alexa or Google yet, but I do plan on trying out that feature at some point. The simplicity of the system is nice and operation is pretty simple. You will need to adjust your sensitivity settings depending on your situation, but all that can be dialed in during the setup. Again, my family and visiting family is worth the investment into a good quality alarm system and I do feel like this particular system has got the features that I was looking for. The price may be the only hard part to justify, but I do feel there is quite a bit of technology here and it is hard not to justify spending money on something that could safe a family member or pets’ life.
