Tea, Coffee, ramen noodles, rinsing extra dirty kitchenware, adding near boiling water to anything anytime on demand. haven't really found the downside yet. there is a filter which needs to be changed out to a schedule I think it's three months but my wife tells me when to do it so I'm not sure. but it's a great addition to any kitchen, especially on a modern remodel

A previous instant water heater in the kitchen sprung a leak and this was purchased to replace it. It cost less from Amazon and I had my plumber install it, which was rather easy while I watched. But he knew what he was doing.

I have to continue to replace this due to the instant hot is plumbed for this device. However, it is a piece of doodoo. I am now on my 4th in 10 years; and they all leaked. First time I didn't detect it and made a mess of wood cabinets. Now I keep this in a deep aluminum pan and installed a leak detecting siren. Sure enough, 5AM siren went off and the third one is leaking. I've opened the others up; and the parts in side are amazingly low quality cheap pieces of crummy plastic. For over $300, this company should be ashamed they sell such a low quality item. Put some money into decent parts.

After working for about a year this started leaking over a weekend and destroyed my kitchen cabinets costing over $1000 to repair.

This unit stopped working about 4 months after installing it. It worked fine until the day that it stopped heating water.
