Took this on a 10 day backpacking trip to use with a butane burner. It is LIGHT and BIG so we loved that about it.My wife dehydrated all our meals so we basically just had to use this to 1) boil water for coffee, and 2) cook meals inside this with water. There was one time that it did end up burning on the bottom, and the burn would not come off. I was not in charge of the cooking at that time (I was on firewood duty) so I cannot confirm the events that transpired which led to the burning (how long left unattended, etc.) I cannot comment on that for the sake of my marriage, but all I know is there is now a burnt part on the bottom of the pot. This is still a great pot, big size, lots of options for cooking with it. The lid does fall into it like others have said, but only if you try to "rest" it on top and not snap it in. If you snap the lid in, it's fine. Don't be lazy.

Why on earth they didn’t put silicone sleeves on the pot handles ???? They quickly get super hot on top of a strong burner.Lid stays on very nice .

The MSR Big Titan Kettle is an absolute winner. We own multiple brands, types, and sizes of titanium cookware. After months of agonizing we decided to invest in this and we couldn’t be happier. This is an awesome investment for backpacking and camping alike. Boils water quickly, and the pot is large enough not only to cook pasta, but to cook up some eggs, etc. After 1 multi-day trek, this is our main go to pot.

I have the regular size MSR Kettle for many years and decide to get the bigger brother. The size of the big Kettle is perfect for my needs. Unfortunately, the product I have received has major dent at the bottom from the shipment! I will return it and exchange for another one.Update: received the replacement but it still has a small dent at the bottom. I will keep it but not happy with how the shipment was handled

It is a good lightweight pot for camping, surprisingly lightweight for the size. The lid fits snug as can be, although the pot is so large and thin walled that it deforms very easily if handled improperly without the lid to add some upper rigidity, but I can see this staying snug for a while as long as the vessel isnt completely dented.Smooth Titanium finish, would be nice to know of it's purity, I'd use it everyday at home if I could get some verified tests that it doesnt contain metals that will accumulate in my body with prolonged use. but thats just me

If you are going for small and compact, this isn't for you. That's not to say its bad. It's just a lot bigger than the original titan kettle (which I also own). Compared to the smaller titan kettle, this doesn't feel as sturdy. Feels more flimsy. Mine came with what looked like a dent in the side and wasn't wrapped in plastic like the smaller one. So, I am wondering if it was owned by someone else before me. Who knows. Sent it back. Wasn't worth the $100 dollars I paid for it.

Ok. So I was not sure about this purchase. A lot of money for a pot. But glad I got it. Super light. Easy To handle. Love the top and they way it fits. My old pot did not have this and its a great feature. Heats up quickly. I thought about the smaller size but that would have been a mistake. This size is perfect for our groups of 2-4 people. I can store the stove and my fuel canister inside the pot.

Wenn die Firma noch normale und hübschere Henkel anbringen würde, könnte man dieses Geschirr durchaus auch zu Hause als Kochgeschirr verwenden.

Great 2/3 person group ultralight cookpot - no coating, so no teflon in my food.

nix brennt an, Gewicht supppppper.

This is a really nice pot for 2-3 or melting snow. I just returned back from my first winter trip with this pot using the MSR Wisperlite universal. The flame for the Wisperlite matches ideally with this pot. The pot lid handle will stay up better than toaks pots as its less dependent on being in the notch. The pour spout does pretty well, the only thing that would make it better is if it came to more of a point instead of rounded but I like the rounded better in my pack. However what sets this apart from other similar Ti kettles is the pour spout is opposite the handle which is more ideal in the cold and for the short handles as opposed to a right angle pour spout which uses your wrist as opposed to your shoulder elbow so better for really cold temps in my view. When pouring the first 0.25L can pour a little sloppy then is fine for the remainder. The short style handles don't get too hot when using the wisperlite. Never felt it through my OR flurry gloves. Inside the pot you can fit the aluminum base circular shield (folded in quarters), the wisperlite sideways in the bag, the canister attachment stand, lighter / matches / fire steel and a 2oz nalgene bottle (denatured alcohol for priming). The biggest downside is that it doesn't come with a fitted sack to put it in. If you use a liquid stove and get some suit from priming with white gas on it then you will want something to put it in ... and also to hold the lid on. Huge shame on MSR for not including ... thats camping pots 101 to provide a light weight sack to hold the lid and keep any soot from getting all over everything. Now I have to figure out how to make one as Toaks is out of their XL which may fit it. For the price MSR should really include one.
