It make a great cup of coffee. Very easy to use. Boil the water,add ground coffee,stir, let steep for few minutes,place top on and slowly press. Enjoying coffee.

Handle gets hot cooking over fire. Maybe I’m misinformed but I thought it was supposed to stay cool? I cook on a jet boil and turned it down, just makes the coffee take longer.The product is eary to clean and coffee is good.

This was my first French press. I bought it to make coffee in the field when camping/hiking. It does such a great job that I ended up using it at home almost every day for my morning coffee. If you've never used a French press before, it might take you a little time (like it did for me) to figure out the optimal coarseness of the grind so you don't get sediment in your cup, and how much ground coffee to use / how long to steep for the strength and boldness you prefer. Once you get that down though, this press is awesome. Be patient with the learning curve and watch some videos - it's worth it. I've been enjoying the best coffee I've ever had since learning about the French press and using a hand grinder to grind my own beans. Also, this 0.5L size is perfect to make enough coffee for your standard size insulated coffee tumbler.

I like it, the thing is really noisy though. Other than that it is convient with it's detachable press so I can use it for other things.
