Using this as a portable vessel for collecting hot water and preparing pour over coffee. It works fine. It doesn’t keep the heat very long… hot tea or coffee stored inside cools quickly. I used a towel as a tea cozy to retain some warmth. I’d trade a bit of weight for thicker walls and bottom if that would help heat retention.

I just used this on a week long camping trip and it was great. So cute and folds really flat. The handle is always cool. Some have said they don’t like the way it pours and it does flex a little because it’s made of silicon but I found that if you use a potholder to support the bottom with your other hand it’s no problem at all. Love it!

This collapsible kettle works great on the gas stove in our travel trailer. I love that it is lightweight and stores compactly. It makes enough hot water for a couple of beverages and some hot cereal. The water stays warm for longer than I thought it would. The kettle stays upright while full, but the handle and pouring are a bit tricky. I would not want children using this as steam can flow over the pourer’s hand. The neck is a bit narrow, so I would only heat water in this as I don’t know how easy it would be to really scrub inside it. I haven’t used the cups and bowl yet, but I will add to this review if there is a problem with them.

My wife and I used this set during our backpacking trip this weekend. We absolutely loved it. It may not be the lightest piece of equipment but we were able to boil much more water at a time use kettle thing over our cooking pot saving us precious time. It was perfect for two people and saved us at least $100 dollars buying similar products here on Amazon and REI.The rubber is strong and sturdy and does not collapse. We had trouble collapsing the kettle once but pretty sure that was user error. They clean great, pack great, and cook great. What more do you need? My only complaint is that it should come with two bowls. I’d pay a little extra. This set seems to be for two people but we still had to bring one of our metal camping bowls for either me or my wife because this set comes with only one. Not a big deal and definitely not a reason to not get this. You can get two sets of this for the price of one bowl from a competitor and I bet you they are just about the same quality.
